  1. Technical clothing require detergent which do not have small particles to avoid clogging, and able to kill bacteria. I am using Sport-Wash, i think got it from Sportman Warehouse. Also have Nikwax which able to restore the moisture wicking after washing. Got it from CapeStorm Bryanston.
  2. Nice shop, just went there yesterday to register for the Suunto Trail Run! Nice range of inov-8 shoes........
  3. yeah, I am using Toupe too! Good saddle!
  4. Yeah, indeed bikes industry in SA is very advanced and EXPENSIVE! But I really enjoy those events and races!
  5. As I know specialized BG fit saddle got a measure pad to check the width of you seat bones, then they will recommend the correct size saddle. Not sure if this service available in SA..
  6. Really interesting...hopefully no body spoil the market before price become really attractive
  7. I am using 2xu short & long compression pant, and BV Sport sport booster (compression calf sleeves). I would say these compression stuff are amazing. Reducing muscle damages during run and help rehab. I normally wear 2XU short and BV sport booster for race, then wearing the 2xu pant during sleep to help recovery. The effect is less muscle pain/cramp during the run, and faster recovery.
  8. Thule aerobar and Proride!

  13. Haha, I don't dare to try the big one yet! I just tested some of the wooden bridge near the start and climbing out of tunnel under the highway. Those enough to make me almost fell off. I was there around 4.50pm, going around on those green.. tried some wetland, than scared off when i tried the intermediate trail over the highway. (not the zombie, is the one beside main road, keep up and down...). Just got my cleat shoe as well, 1st time using cleat shoe on climbing is kind of horrible, lost momentum and could not use leg to keep balance.... Have to fight off some fear factor....
  14. Hey guy, Novice MTB biker here. I went MTN bike park yesterday and found it really tough... How do you keep traction when going up those wooden bridge? I tried seated but my front wheel lifted up... if i stand and pedal the back wheel keep slipping... Ah.. plenty of skills to pick up...
  15. My 1st order early this year with Parcel Force took 1 week. But the one using Royal Mail...i received the slips after 4 weeks.. i guess it's our post office slow to send the slip...
  16. Hi, It's unlucky that today my GPS phone got stolen in Pretoria... some beggars break-in my friend car and steal it away.. It's a model not available in South Africa, a white Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10. http://www.garminasus.com/en_GB/phones/nuvifone-m10/ I was using Vodacom prepaid on the phone, is there any way to lock the phone using vodacom service? (i think it's probably hopeless but just asking...)
  17. I am using the Trico Ironcase (actually not iron), just hardcase. http://www.amazon.com/Trico-Iron-Bike-Travel-Case/dp/B001185C7Q If you always travel and you have a decent bike, it worth invest in a proper hardcase, I travel at least once in 2-3 months, and this case just serve me well. I have a large frame road bike, all i need to do is just remove the wheels and take off the handlebar (to turn around), dun have to mess with cables and etc. Anyway i find travel from South Africa to other countries is really tough with hardcase, the case (12kg) + complete bike at least 20kg. (easily overweight with clothes and accessories.) The airline charges me around R300/kg to Asia, and R150 to middle east..but i have some airline loyalty card so normally can get away. To europe and US, i find lufthansa give free allowance to bicycle (must be below 23kg). If you are prepared to pay for overweight and not frequently travel, may be just get a softcase and put a lot cardbaord as padding.
  18. Sport track good but not web-based... still prefer GC as can use on any laptops.. For the maps, download Gfix for Chrome or another extension for Firefox, then will be able to see the map in google map.
