    May have something to do with CTCT originally being a protest ride and not necessarily a timed recreational event. Irrespective of the semantics though, they are both exceptional events in their own right and historical context. If one is fortunate enough do any of the Ride to Shova rides down, take the opportunity. It really is food for the soul and a beautiful cycling journey filled with memories. This is coming from a none roadie 🤭

    Taroko Trail Park in Modderfontein. Been ages since doing a proper night ride. Sipping a cold with burgers and banter afterwards and listening to the wildlife. It really felt amazingly disconnected from being anywhere near a massive metro like Sandton/Jhb.

He’s forgotten more than what most of still need to learn. Amy Beth whose happily married and racing up a storm. Nic White who has semigrated to the Cape his family. Doing tours and coaching alongside Di his wife. Both sons riding. Pepi the tattoo artist, a power rider in his own right. Macedonia 🇲🇰 national champ. Closed up his tattoo studio in Parkhurst, went solo and recently moved to Paris with his wife.
