get a SS. then you dont have to worry about breaking anything...
  15. mistakes... school fees rather... LOL It is great fun learning to ride a tandem. But you have to have a whole huge bag of "sense of humor" to start out. Main thing is... keep smiling and don?t fight... That will be the last ride you and the misses do.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  16. HR... It must pro have slicks on and now they think it is a road bike I R pritty-or-ee-ya... ;-)
  17. I take it you are talking about road tandem... <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Try find a mate or a LSB or on www.tandencyclingsa.co.za (like mdk555 said) to take one for a test ride first. A tandem is either a maker or breaker. I know of people from both sides of the fence. I am in the same boat as my other half wants a MTB tandem. I am reluctant as we are on complete separate levels. Yet. I am willing to compromise knowing that at least I get to ride, regardless of the intensity, and spend time with her. But. as for a 4k tandem. you are going to be very lucky to find someone that is in a predicament of choice... either the bike or the girl... <?: prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> and want s to get rid of it very quickly, or it will be a piece of junk that your experience on it will be rather a disappointing one.

agreed... Unless you have loads of tom and can fork out on replacing parts and frames every so often. If you are serious about AR. Then spend. But if you are just trying. Start small.
  19. LOL SD... Same with me. I almost got bumped off by my fiancee... Was chatting to her at a red robot. And before it could turn green. I left her window to go to the left side of the car. And she decided to pull off cause she thought I was moving cause it was green. And got such a fright cause I cliped the front fender... LOL... needless to say I was not very impressed with her. I wxplained to her that, htat is how motorists loose thier mirrors or get the bird...
  20. the only way to really learn to drive a car using all the std. features (indicator, mirrors,...) Is to ride a motorcycle in traffic. Then you realise how little motorists actually see anything. then when you are back in your car. You are more aware of the situations from a bikes point on view and actually you can make better judgments when turning or braking. or whatever...<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  21. So... if you forget your shoes... Do you still go ride in your flip flops or trainers that you drove in? I think not.
  22. Its a disease... more commonly known as " Moroniosis". And there is no cure unfortunatly.
