sorry, cant help with a bike but will be on the look out for it. where at Kings Beach was the photo taken? might be mistaken, but doesn't look like it to me.

what size helicoil do you need? also is there enough meat(thickness) for the insert? the standard depth of a 8 mm helicoil is 8mm

better? most probably just to make it lighter and for bling. and no, carbon don't break that easy(from normal usage)

had a similar problem. it was the 2 locking bolts on the left crank arm causing the creaking noise. take them out and put a bit of grease on them and don't tighten to much and go for a short ride to check.
