  1. Okay, I scrolled up and down looking for the attractive blonde babe ????
  2. Go To settings - general - software update I am running OS 5.1.1 on my iPad II
  3. Who is Neil and are you serious about him been caught with pricy stolen bikes? As for taking the bike apart, the shop owners simply need to look for the roval wheels, brain shock with the adjuster at the top (new) and of course, the very unique black frame which is the high cost item. Come on guys, let's find this one... maybe the dude will follow Jason's example (olympic cycles) 'sorry bud, this one is stolen, bring the papers and I'll give it back to you'
  4. Don't you get those little solar panel chargers for PSPs, iPods etc?
  5. Steelman, I have posted this link on the Tygerberg MTB facebook page...the more people read this, the greater the chances of recovering your bike.
  6. Steelman, I have the exact same bike, stock standard and I'm probably going to put the same tyre on at it's next service which is this week. I feel your pain, especially since we waited so long for the frikking bike to be released. I suggest getting Specialized to send out an alert to all their stores (there's only 26 of them country wide) and tell them to look out for your serial number. Bobby told me that there are very few mediums in the country so the shops don't even need the serial number. Check the bike and ask for the papers...It'll probably surface at some side street bike shop though but who knows... There are a few in Northern suburbs, get in touch with Deon at Cyclefunatic -- great service (where I got mine), he has one on the floor but i think it's a large. Good luck.
  7. Of course it's about money....Garmin doesn't stand a chance of getting in because if they did, Polar would throw their toys big time and withdraw from the exclusive deal. Let's try add another chain of gyms to the vitality pgm.... hmmm, I know exactly where that proposal will end up. Garmin is no different. Whilst visiting my LBS (small setup) for some retail therapy, I asked a question about why he doesn't stock Garmin (i like supporting the small guys but had to buy my garmin 800 at another store). His answer, "Garmin won't supply him with stock..."
  8. similar issue: same store but my problem is Giro MTB gloves. The dye comes off and stains my hands. Giro says it was a bad batch and gave me a new pair after waiting for two weeks and following up myself. Guess what, the replacement pair must also be a bad batch as it has same problem. The gloves are R500 and was the most expensive pair Cyclelab had in stock. The gloves are going back after the Grape Escape and Argus, and I'm staying away from the brand.
  9. Coffee, sprite zero, coffee, and Windhoek light.....( or any other decent beer if I run out)
  10. Sorry lads, that's exactly what I went through in the last couple weeks, bled the brakes and it solved MY problem.
  11. Very cool comparison. I've only just started cycling and I'm doing the Epic this year so I now know what else is on the bucket list...
  12. An interesting read guys, I too am doing the Epic and being my first, have been debating the hiring of a dedicated mechanic team. I had no idea that you get walk-ins and would be peeved if I paid that kind of money and some guys got their bikes fixed while I waited or got 2nd hand service....
  13. What you don't know is that their service is even better in the store...Eat your heart out guys! I serviced my bike a few weeks ago and a few days later received a follow-up call, not from some marketing company that does zip about your complaint, but by one of the family members 'herself'. Had minor problem and was told to bring my bike in immediately.... The only problem I have is that they cannot stock my preferable bike make. Ps Veg NT, do yourself a favour, give Chris Senior a call, you won't be sorry. They are human and do make mistakes but he'll sort it out. Gavin
  14. If you don't want one, decline or give it to the first kid you see. I have only just entered the sport but played football at a decent level. I tossed my little cups and medals over the years until I won 3 in the same year and my son asked if he could have them .... He has collected everything his Dad has earned on the sports field ever since then, including Attakwas and today's event. My point being, what's not important to one, may be very important to others. Ps I should get a medal for reading this Thread....
  15. Not sure what you're saying here? Have you found/seen a bike that was possibly stolen or was your bike possibly stolen in the Parow/Goodwood area?
