  1. Did anyone else see the dumb@ss riding north in the yellow lane or the N3 south this morning? I saw him at about 6h50 near the new Pick n Pay DC in Marlboro. I think a cop had spotted him and was reversing up the highway to apprehend the tjop.
  2. Thanks for the offer, but I'd need to grow up a lot to fit a 21. It's OK, the bike shop has offered me some options. I'll tell her.
  3. I must say the Nashua kit is nice. I'm not sure what I'm riding as my 'dale shock is still in "Slaapstad" awaiting service. I suspect I'm be a ponce and end up borrowing a carbon hard tail for the race. Cian (the younger step daughter) is doing her first 1/2 marathon. I hope she survives and enjoys it.
  4. I've met you, these tactics just arn't going to work. How did your Fast One go, I saw Great White, Big Ben and Thug at the finish, surprised not to spot you.
  5. Di CPD, a friend of hers and I where out on the spruit yesterday afternoon. I thought it was fairly quiet. We had a great ride. Got caught in the rain at the end, but if anything that made it even better. Maybe the "inconsiderate, rude and ignorant riders" where at the Fast One?
  6. I'll probably see you then. Also heading out there at 6ish.
  7. Thanks for sharing. Although, I don't think Friday afternoons is a great time to be cycling in the Cradle, way to many pubs in the area, and way to many reps being productive members of society.
  8. Yip, saw some on Mighty Mouses Volcan at the bike park the other day. You don't want to know the price. Infact I seem to have blocked that info from my memory.
  9. Fair comment, shouldn't running be part of all high level cycling training then? How many track and road cyclists include running as part of their training program? Oh, and how far, how often?
  10. Thanks Di, I'm looking to understand more before I decide on running or not.
  11. Can someone please tell me why so many MTB training programs include running as part of the training? I really don't like running at all. I often think of runners as cyclists who have lost or not acquired their bikes yet.
  12. Dude, both you and Captain Kangaroo where riding them pretty hard. Maybe not directly, but there was a good guilt by association thing going. One of my failing's is I don't react well to what I see as bullying.
  13. An enema would probably improve the signal to noise ratio, however I suspect the entertainment value of the hub would decline radically. a bit of a catch 22 situation.
  14. A little bird told me that the CSA IT system for maintaining the licence database is having issues. So bad infact that they looking for a new service provider. The same little bird mentioned that race organisers are aware of this and should provide suitable leaway.
  15. Flu is a very common ailment around that time of the year. I was just about OD'ing on vitamin C around the time of Bakwena to keep the snivels away. Thanks for the post Eben, I think it has a very valid message.
  16. Sorry, but I'd watch just to see Albie smash the sheep shaggers ragged. It seems they lost all ability to handle a ball as soon as he took them on.
  17. Dead serious. I was touch and go at one stage after Dumini and McKenzie went out, however Albie Morkel smashed the sheep shaggers. Finished with something like 39 of 17 balls.
