  2. Good to see you Tim. Not to sure about the smile, I think it musty have been before, not after. Thanks for the great event Alex. Will you please post the details about the Woodmead event. markStockton2009-02-17 23:46:34
  3. I didn't follow yesterdays thread. So I can't comment on that.
  4. the app couldn't find the database.
  5. S2L, I did notice that, I'm also aware of the large doses of sarcasm and dark humor contained within this thread. However my concern is some brandy and coke drinking chop is going to be inspired into "scarring" some cyclists after the next braai he attends. At the time he won't be very sober and will probably stuff it up and hit the cyclist. Thanks to the wonderful inspiration he got on CTBB. I really don't have an issue with dialog, but the title (as well as a fair number of posts on the thread) must go.
  6. There is a thread on the new "CTBB" forum suggesting having a "Lets Kill a Cyclist Day", the url is http://www.no10.nl/ctbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28 Maybe those offended by this thread may want to lodge a complaint with the following: t.spoelstra@gmail.com - The owner of the domain r.j.n.clements@kpn.com - the owners of the network block where the domain is hosted. Not to sure how well the above will turn out, however there internet naming service everydns.com specifically bars there user from "(2) not to use the Service for illegal purposes;" so probably the best bet is a flood of mails to support@everybox.com, complaining that there customer is hosting content that may / may not incite others to commit murder / homicide. If anyone of the above react and suspend their portion of the service, the site goes down. markStockton2009-02-17 05:09:51

  9. nice one Shaun, deposit on it's way.
  10. Would this explain why baggy wearing mountain bikers seem to be a fair amount brighter. Running fast for the door. markStockton2009-02-16 07:24:04
  11. No need for the coat, you have support. I'd take an Audi over the other 2 any day. That new R8's quite a beast too... EDIT: @ Hog - don't forget the big stick-on exhaust tailpiece with flashing lights... .... and spinner hubs with flashing leds
  12. What amazes me about this debate is just the lack of common sense here. It really doesn't matter how high the moral high ground is, when you are lying dead in the street. I've stopped riding on a number of roads because they are too narrow, busy, too many taxi's, too many trucks etc. I know I should have the right to use these roads, however I also realise the risks are high and I like returning to my family alive after rides. For this reason 90% of my road riding is done early and in the Cradle, for this same reason I don't go to the Cradle on Super Bike Sundays! It doesn't matter if you are in the right or the wrong, when you get hit by a car / taxi / truck / super bike you loose!

  15. I seem to remember that there are contact details for Phambili on the Rock Hoppers website. www.rmbc.co.za (I think).
  16. If you going to teak, take some cash with. I believe they are now charging to access the MTB route. However that said, they have done a lot of work on their "blue" route and it is a tough, but fairly entertaining ride. I also noticed some "black" route boards going up. However rain chased me away before I could go play on those trails.
  17. I'm very happy with my Velotex bib shorts with the grey and red shammy. I think I got my last pair from Solomons for just under R 700.00.
  18. They work fine and seal perfectly, I used Joes rim strips and stans fluid. The downside is I ripped up the rear tyre in no time, the biggest problem seems to be the thin side walls don't handle a 85kg carcase on a hardtail. I still have my Ralph on the front and currently a LUST Larsen TT on the back. I'm thinking about getting a UST Racing Ralph from CRC because I really like the tyres. Handling is awesome, good at shedding mud as well. The back tyre also wore very, very quickly. I was also tearing the blocks of the rear. I think this was from heavy braking, very strange as I use the front brakes a lot more.
  19. I advised the Outsurance assessor that I was going to pay the bike shop directly to expedite the repairs. He arranged for me to be paid out directly, and this happened within a week. However I did make sure that they approved the claim and that I used an approved bike shop for the repairs. BTW - the damaged parts are sitting in a bag on my work bench. I think this is because the assessor photographed the damage to the bike before it went into the shop.
