  1. Thankfully no, but I do feel his pain, I have tears in my eyes now. markStockton2009-01-16 05:05:01
  2. You can. Bring your bike round with a power link tonight and I'll fit it.
  3. Nitro - I read somewhere leaving the paraffin residue on the chain stops your lube getting into the link and is thus pad. This is why the rinse is a good idea. Di - Only one link.
  4. I must say I agree with Marc. The protectionist attitude of wholesalers and dealers usually only protects poor business practices.
  5. Yip, it is terrible again today. I guess someone needs to reboot the server.
  6. Neither spec mentions front and rear derailleur, weight or price. However given that the first one has 100mm travel as opposed to 80 and is a 9 speed I assume it is a higher spec, I would go with that one. However I would also shop round outside the brand, Mongoose bikes are very well priced and spec'd and there seems to be very good value to be had with Felt. The Merrida that we had for a while (can't remember the model) was a heavy monster, but otherwise very good.
  7. Tchop LOL @ BigBen Some times it is just to easy
  8. I'd take a Specialised Merrida Hat -> Coat -> Door
  9. Steven, there is no denying that "online shops" have a big future. Maybe you need to look at a different set of criteria as I also understand what you say. Possibly setting a minimum initial order threshold is an option.
  10. Hi Steven I appreciate the comment, as I've said before I hope the mistake was innocent (however I do have my doubts) and you are quite correct that the proprietor did offer the use of his own 'dale Rush to race on Wednesday night. However in the words of the Dixie Chicks, "I'm not ready to make nice". Cheers Mark
  11. My Omnia only arrived yesterday (they are hard to get) but so far it is great.
  12. I'm hoping that the c0ckup was an innocent mistake, however I suspect otherwise. I may well still out the culprit, just not in anger. What is for sure is they have now fallen off my list of shops to recommend. Maybe I should go find that post and edit it.
  13. It would seem that possibly the proprietor of the bike shop involved may either have been confused, or possibly less than truthful in this instance. My apologies Steven and Coolheat. I will arrange for the derailleur to get to you via another shop and you can confirm if the you have the parts or not. Thank you for pushing the subject so that could get to the bottom of the matter.
  14. That is so wrong in so many ways? I'm speechless.
  15. I really need to point out the poor body position being used on the descent.
  16. I must say that my experience of OutSurance has been great. I've had a in competition claim after a crash and they where very professional and helpful in dealing with the claim. The assessor definitely went the extra mile on more than one occasion. They even replaced my bib that was ripped in the crash. They where also quite upfront about their limitations of covering a bike stolen from a car.
  17. I don't want to be funny, but it is way to late. I've bought and fitted another d?railleur (sadly not SRAM but XT). However I was there when ##### from the ########### called yourselves with these details only to be told later that you do not stock the part. Probably a win, win for yourselves as I ended up buying a new item. Sadly smooth talking after the fact doesn't make the experience any more pleasant. The point being that when required to, Coolheat could not backup their own product!!! markStockton2009-01-14 04:53:23
