  1. pffffft...i've just spoken to her, and she refutes everything you say. she even thanked me profusely again for showing her the line. she punctuated every sentence with the word 'guru' pandering to a fragile ego, I'm sure. you're still bitter that my boys walked up to you at the crossing on the spruit, grabbed your arm and said: "old man, can we help you cross the road?" ROFLMAO

  3. I take it you've fitted a turbo to the zimmer frame. ? which i am going to give to an old man who needs it?YOU!mmmmm?care to tell all the hubbers who got dropped on the slope after i was so kind as to shepherd bat8 over that tricky section? well? I think bat8 was sheparding you at HR "no crash speed". I believe evidence to this effect is the record time she set at Babbas, when I forgot to bring you a bike to ride. Face it old man, you holding the poor girl back.

  5. I'm starting to sense that this thread isn't entirely about how Groenkloof Rocks. I think I need to start a thread titled "HR falls so often, people who know him consider it normal behavior".
  6. AWESOME Brett Can I borrow your buddy to clean up the spruit as well as a few other hot spots?
  7. Using the daily Ubuntu build of chromium, no issues with the navigation bar.
  8. Well done Chris (jnr), absolutely awesome service. I placed another order this morning
  9. My wife likes hers. Uses it mainly for running. I'm considering buying one, but will probably end up with a Polar RS300 with GPS pod.
  10. I will have to check with the boss for availability. However I think a new year ride is an awesome idea.
  11. No can do this, or next Friday, various office parties (an important part of carbo loading before 24 hour. ;-)
  12. I'm interested in a weekly thursday (pref) or friday afternoon ride.
  13. If memory serves correctly, Wendel did offer.
  14. A lot of work has gone into making this course 24 hour friendly (ie dumbing it down for non mtb riders and corporates). However at the end of the day, it is an MTB race. So if you fit, strong and have a little technical skills you will have a 24 hour you will never forget. It will be hard. It definitly isn't NF. However it will be awesome.
  15. Where is the option for half of the shirts received (ie - 2 out of 4), and no response to email enquiries.
  16. ? You pissy as Marius would say! Which one of us should be offended?
  17. Miles easier than the monster. My point was really for roadies and social riders.
  18. I also rode the route this weekend and believe Dobby has raised some very good points. Some people will love the route, others will just be way out of their league. I would suggest anyone wanting to ride the 24 hour go and ride the course before entering, it is NOT Northern Farm, it IS TOUGH and a lot more technical. markStockton2009-10-26 02:18:12
  19. Yip, got mine last night. Needless to say I didn't sleep much. I really enjoyed Thugs SS article. It has motivated me to finish my SS this weekend. Also nice to see HR including some beer and music.
  20. Finish Line in Kempton Park Others I'd like to try as they have great reps are: Mikes Bikes in Greenside Northcliff Cycles.
  21. Periodically Wayne at the MTN bike park runs courses, maybe give him a shout I think I read something about him doing one soon.
