  5. The Merida TFS 700, Rockshock Tora fork, Shimano Deore Disc Brakes, LX and XT gears. J
  6. Schwinn and mongoose the best value for money, but for 10k you can get a very nice Merida as well, which would be lighter. I'd go for that.

  9. My current hardtail is a Schwinn moab.... very heavy frame. Want to get the mongoose canaan, don't think the bike will end up heavier.... parts is SRAM x.7 and x.9, juicy 3 and rock shock tora. J
  10. Hi all! I am contemplating upgrading from hardtail to dualie... Still want a XC bike, so 80-100mm travel is fine. I'm just gonna transfer my parts from the hardtail, so only buying the frame. What frame do you suggest? My budget is kinda limited, so please: NO CARBON!!!! Currently my number 1 option is the mongoose canaan. J
  11. I also reckon road shoes will last longer than mtb shoes....
  12. My problem: My budget doesn't allow me to do cycling: PERIOD! Now I'm already considering buying a dual susser.... before you know it I'll be buying a road bike!!!
  13. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem as I.... Constantly wanting something new and better.... Got my bike December, and already thinking of upgrading.... You see where this is going??? J
  14. Commencal currently has 20% discount on 2007 models(or so I heard), if I were you I would get the hardtail (silverback/schwinn/mongoose) for parts and get the meta 4.1 frame....
  15. Also look at the option of buying a 15k hardtail, like a mongoose, and do a frame trade in..... mongoose is the best value for money regarding parts....
