  1. All I will say is that the bike helps (geometry, suspension curve etc), the setup (suspension, bike fit etc) is equally important and the rider skill, as well as fitness is the most important. Weight to me is not important at all, but probably helps when you're racing at the top. So yes... everything matters... What was the question again?
  2. Senna moved to Williams in his last season, because they had a better car. Then a rule change outlawed electronic aids which made their car one of the worst and most dangerous in the field. He never won another race and ultimately died tragically in that car. Anyway... as you were.
  3. Think the events are too complex to broadcast live... Highlights packages are very condensed. I also wish there was a better way of watching.
  4. So after a drivetrain upgrade I started having issues with the On One bike bought here on BikeHub last year. Unfortunately the derailleur hanger (part of frame) bent badly, was fixed and then had a catastrohic second failure in the middle of nowhere. RIP On One... Bought a frame and rear shock, again here on BikeHub and then transplanted everything else from the late On One frame (RIP). Had to change rear Hope hub to 12mm and get a new bottom bracket. Also changed the saddle to a new Fabric (very nice...) and this is the finished product I've been riding for the past few weeks! Still finding my rhythm, but it's a beast.
  5. Thanks man. Enjoying this bike. First ride yesterday... I feel very confident on it, but damn I'm unfit.
  6. Maybe... Please let me know when you're selling Simon.
  7. I did not read the whole thread. Only checked to see if someone else already recommended Fabien's videos. They changed my riding style and made me a lot faster...
  8. Saw it cruising past me this afternoon. I was stuck in ridiculous traffic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Does that go on the back of a Land Rover? Think I saw it a few days ago...
  10. The Rand has been steadily improving since the Brexit scare... I'm hoping for better than expected pricing in a couple of months, when the first 2017s land here.
  11. That Knolly! Would love to know how much
  12. Pretty sure that is a mistake. No way this bike has a 90mm stem. Just look at the photo... Probably 50mm.
  13. This guy has a Mondraker in his profile photo...
  14. That's a good deal... Only thing is, rear derailleur is not clutched, like the standard SLX you have.
  15. This 900+ post thread might answer your question: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/133225-2014-giant-trance-275-2/ I know I'm enjoying mine more every ride. It really helped me to improve my skills and I'm still constantly getting faster, up and down...
  16. Didn't they have this suspension design on the One-Forty since 2013 model year? I've been asking the Merida agents for pricing on the One-Forty range for the past 2 years. They just always said that they couldn't help me. Happy on my Trance now...
  17. Also got one on my Trance... Only a few months old, but no issues so far.
  18. Don't like the look of Orange bikes, at all. That Yeti on the other hand...
  19. I believe I've seen this exact SB in the classifieds here, some time back. I remember visiting the ad every morning and drooling all over my PC...
  20. Well, rather that than Black Label and Ricoffy drinking Brakpanners...
  21. Enduro is a style of racing, rather than a type of bike...
  22. Isn't 140mm more of a trail bike? 160mm is more all mountain...
