Guys, this is the way I look at it... A rider would have already made his mind up as to whether or not he is going to take something before he comes to me. He probably would have spoken to many other riders who are doing the same thing before he contacts me. I would at least let him in on the little that I do know. Rather than him going overboard and do serious damage, is it not wise to get some info on the subject and do some homework. The first 2 hings I say to anyone is that its not going to turn a donkey into a racehorse, and the old saying ' more is better ' definately does not apply when it comes to this. I have had many riders stear away from drugs after talking to me. Its a serious decision to make, and if its not done 100% its not worth it. As far as drugs and racing for south Africa is concerned, do some investigation, most of the guys who have raced for SA have tested positive ?????

Perhaps you need to contact your friend at the beeld and find out exactly what is going on. I think you will end up with a bit of egg on your face. Those are what I use. Pump them to 11 bar all the time with no problems at all.

People should not be in to much of a hurry to slap a set of SRM cranks on their bikes. I have been using SRM for about 4 years, (since Commonwealth games in 2002). Sure they do tell you how much power and a few other things, but you need to be a bit of an enthusiast to get the full benefit from them. You need to have a reasonable amount of your own data available to see where you are going. I just found that at times I was concentrating more on the SRM than on my training. Bikemax is 100% correct. A set of SRM without the right coach means nothing. You need to know how to train with power, and believe me its a 180 degree turn from what is concidered normal. So if you are going to buy a set, then make sure you get the right advisor to. As for the comparison between SRM and Powertap, there just isnt any. The SRM as a far better product, but twice the price. Rather pay the money and buy the right unit.
