Couldn't agree more. Olympics dont mean much to road cyclists except a good 3 week break and jol. Track riders have a different view, they seem to value olympics higher than world champs. I agree with Hunter. He obviously has to be in the team and if SA are going to send riders he has to go. If I wa sin his shoes I would also go and pull the ass end out of whoever is paying for the trip. Take it while the going is good. ****the rest. When they get to the same level they can also make comments like that. In cycling the first thing you learn is worry about yourself and nobody else.

I made a few comments about John lee about two weeks ago, looks like I am going to have to eat my words...... I spoke to a mate of mine that rides for CSC who raced last week with him and said that JL was going really well and looked good. Another Italiano on Liquigas said the same thing to me today. looks like He should be good for the next few races and probably the Olympics too.

Personaly if it were up to me I wouldn't send any South African rider. Realisticaly none of them are going to feature. Its actualy quite poor that we are debating as to who will actually be able to finish the race rather than be a contender?????

Chriss, Firstly, I stopped giving Barloworld Riders 'Special' some time ago. Secondly, I am not the only Chunky out there. I am sure your team mates can point you in the right direction. And Thirdly, nobody said that JL was not a good or talented rider. All I am saying is that at this point in time he may not be the best option. Perhaps they need to look at other riders who are going well and also suited to the course. You guys get your balls in a knot as soon as anyone gives any critisism. What is being debated is the question as to wether or not the best team has been chosen at this point in time. JL when he is going well should have no problems, but unfortunately it doesnt look that rosey for him at the moment. Lets hope he recovers completely and is able to do his part at the olympics.

There is no problem between David and Darren, they good mates. Darren would be a good choice and he is riding well at the moment.

Why ????????? No disrespect but Morne Blignaut is miles ahead in terms of the Kierin. I still cant understand what these selectors are doing. So, Gadi wins the B world champs but only beacuse Morne wasnt there. If you put the 2 together, Morne will win 110 times out of 100.

Ok Winbreaker...just for you...... If I could do it over, sure I would do things completely different but unfortunately what I did I cannot change now. I'll say it again, I have NEVER sold any drugs to anyone. All I did was let them know how to use it firstly safley and secondly effectively. Some will say that is wrong but I can assure you the people I dealt with were going to use the stuff regardless of wether or not I was going to help them. I shoot straight from the hip. I am not ashamed of what I did, and I never hid away from any of the repercussions. What would you have done in this situation.......... The CSA and Drug free sport offer to clear the slate if I give them info one one rider in perticular. Now, If I wanted to I could give you a list 5 pages long of South African Athletes alone that have been 'advised'. I can also give you the data from their blood tests and hormone tests that would prove without a shadow of doubt what they were doing. Some of these are serious high profile athletes, world champoionship and Olympic medal winners across numerous sports. Would you have given the names and walked away scot free or, would you have taken the brandt on your own. If I had opened my mouth, there would be no South African team in the tour. No Professional cycling teams in South Africa. No Absa Sponsorship for athletics and Swimming. What you saw on Carte Blanche was the tip of the ice berg. Perhaps ask Nocsa or CSA about the doping that they funded and that they condoned. Perhaps put some pressure on them to talk and see what crawls out of the woodwork. I say it again, you cannot perform at that level without drugs. Take that any which way you like. I have been there and I hhave seen and experienced it. When the athletes involved are done and dusted in their respective sports I will talk, then we will see just who was the one at fault.

According to everyone there yesterday an sms was sent out to invite people, I never received an sms, and was never told qnything about qualifiers, thats the point. I don't want to slate them, but they gotta learn to play the game and proffessionally, Jotrack The only way to get into the clique there is to join up with the little piggies under Greenbows wing. Put on a few kilo's (+- 30) and get awfully slow and you should fit right in.
