  4. Deviate thanks for the heads up on Life Cycles. Just finished watching it. Cinematography is another step up from anything else that I have seen. Awesome film and refreshingly different. The sequence in the wheat field is just brilliant !!
  5. And now for something completely different IFMXF style ...
  6. Another "trick" you can try is to wrap a ratchet strap around the center of the tyre once its mounted on the wheel. Then tighten it. As the tyre compresses in the middle it forces the beads out towards the rims. The reduced volume also means that less air is required to fill the tyre up and push the beads onto the rim.

  8. Try Sportsmans Warehouse http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/bilby-junior-front-seat.html
  9. This one is still on my pending list. To date my all time fav is "Follow me" closely followed by all of the other films done by The Collective / Anthill Films. They raised the bar on MTB movies with their first production "The Collective". "Follow me" probably because its what my perfect ride should be. Ripping single track with some mates. The sequence with Stevie Smith and Gee Atherton riding in New Zealand at the end is sublime. NWD series has some amazing stuff in it too. NWD 10 - Brandon Semenuk from the top of the mountain ... Say no more

  14. If you are an Iphone or Android owner, the contour+ allows you to setup/frame/and see what the cameras seeing via wifi or bluetooth using the app. This makes it a lot easier to change the settings on the camera. Aside from the extreme angle of view that it offers, it also has hdmi out so you can use it for live streaming as well.Check the link out here. Used both the Gopro and the Contour on a recent shoot and can't fault the quality of the footage from each of them. Just found the contour a lot easier to work with. The record button is also a lot easier to use with gloves on, than the one on the go pro. It has a much lower profile when you mount it on the side of your helmet so you don't feel like you are weighed down. So my personal preference would be for the contour cameras. Having said that you won't be disappointed with the quality of footage from either of them.

  18. Sunset in the Dunes D100 with a 300 2.8 and a 1.4 converter which helps to compress the dunes. Shot directly into the sun, I underexposed by 2 stops to darken the shadows and highlight the sand blowing on the surface.

  23. Have to thank Norm for one thing, at least he got the ball rolling a very funny thread !! At the end of the day, doesn't really matter what bike you ride as long as you have fun riding it. The way I ride, 29 ers dont really work for me, so I'll stick with my Shova. But as an aspiring in between er have been waiting for the bike manufacturers to throw effort into the 27.5 which looks like it is starting to happen with Scott releasing the 2013 Genius (LT) as one. And now Intense has finally released their 275 . Sweeeeeeet. I'll take mine in green thanks. http://reviews.mtbr.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/tracer_275_high_res-184.jpg Hope I don't have to stick my hard hat on now
