  16. well if your jersey feels heavvy you can take the chance and dump the multi tool and one tube, but i am talking roadie stuff here tubes are a lot less bulky, the Botrager ones are nice çause they come wrapped in plastic.
  17. Yes true, but if you pack well... two tubes, tire levers, multi tool, two bombs, quick stick patches, cable ties, duct tape, mini pump that takes bombs too, speed link, hundred rand note (for beer or to use as gaiter on split tire) and cell phone will fit into one pocket. This leaves the other two for snacks and arm warmers.
  18. true but my pockets is big enough for those fings, got free of em you know
  19. Put the stuff in your pockets... thats what they are there for. The KISS rule applies...Keep It Simple Stupid. Don't see any saddle bags on TDF
  20. ok ok... Hi my name is Ian. I like road bikes, only been cycling again for the last three years, however used to cycle in the mid eighties with my Le Turbo from Deal and Huth. Mountain bikes did not exist, if you liked mud you tried Cyclo Cross. It weighed 12 kg, used to see Mighty Mouse in my home town of Boksburg. This new stuff you okes have is really cool like STis and plastic bikes. Tubbies were too expensive just to throw away after they had punctures so i would open them up and repair them. Shoes had nailed on cleats, and we used toe clips and straps. I have bought off The Hub an old Bianchi and built up a Look KX light mostly from bits off the Hub. Am I a newbie on the Hub, perhaps, been here for a while now, sorry for not introducing myself before. We all happy now ?
