  1. Worst bike throw ever...and his wee t-rex arms didn't help :-)
  2. Meanwhile.... https://bikerumor.com/cadex-triathlon-frame-no-top-tube-prototype/?fbclid=IwAR2lE3aciXD_tcC0_Yo551MYTQHBisUMZBdOLu2WCDOiklsvxWFLGvEghdo
  3. The bike seems thick on marketing and thin on actual new tech. Most of the aspects have been on bikes for a few years now. That said - I'm keen to see a more hands on article where they dig a little deeper. That kind of money, brainpower and opportunity MUST have broken some new ground.
  4. Good times! Stack and Reach are all you need to pick a frame style and size. The fitting portion is waaaay more complicated than triangles. At least in the "old days" you could find your size and it would be pretty consistent across different brands. Just as well we changed or I wouldn't have a job 😆😆
  5. Size really doesn't matter (or count!!). The day Giant made sa sloping frame was the day size died. Stack and Reach are all that count.
  6. 100%! They punched well above their weight class this classics season. Up until Remco took LBL Intermarche were above Quickstep in the team rankings. Unbelievable!
  7. I guess we need to pick or passion/poison these days. Same with Netflix, Prime Video, HBO etc. There is free to air stuff out there but I pay for the above because the content, menus, options and experience out do the free stuff significantly. I also do GCN RacePass but still use Cyclingnews to check results. I probably won't pay for the premium experience though.
  8. Ahhhh I remember the hatestorm when lehub asked us for money. Good times.
  9. #truthbomb I have had a customer or two that milk me for information then buy online. Once they develop a trend I politely tell them to check the net for reviews and information rather than ask me for my opinion. Whether we like it or not time IS money in all industries. Someone is doing the work that you want for free.
  10. I would guess ad revenue has dropped steadily over the last few years - there are millions of platforms for advertisers to use these days. My guess is that they're trying to make up the loss/difference in sub fees. That said I have no experience in this field at all - is there anyone from the industry that has a batter idea? @Matt @Danger Dassie
  11. Damn those scoundrels making you pay for stuff! Journalists should starve to provide us with free content! Let's hope people in all the nay sayers industry don't decide they want your skills for free....
  12. The result of the Dirty Jutland gravel race in northern Denmark. Awesome place with amazing scenery and an awesome course. The down side....it was a point to point race and the prevailing wind was in our faces... First time I have ever experiences a 9 hour headwind! Brutal but rewarding.
  13. On my way to the Dirty Jutland. A 210km gravel race to Skagen, the northern most point of Denmark. Skagen has been on my to do list now for a while so what better way to see it than to ride there?
  14. It's like someone wanted a Giant and a Spesh but couldn't decide so they put both into 1 bike. Ungainly is the kindest thing I can say about it
  15. It will buy you some time but ultimately it will pick up dust/powder and gunge up even worse. Fine if you need it working stat - not great as a medium/long term solution.
  16. I use an u/s cleaner and love it. Saves time and does the job properly. As droo said - be careful of completely delubing the chain. Getting lube back in the chain (between the plates) is not super easy. It is good for people using conventional wet&dry lubes - it is a must have for people using real dry waxes.
  17. Therein lies the rub. I'm 100% sure everyone on this thread could make several meaningful changes to their lives that would minimize their impact on the planet...but instead some of them would rather have a go at companies that do.
  18. Not a clue. I also learned that googling "squirt lube" without adding bike and/or several other bicycle specific terms brings up some rather interesting and age restricted website 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  19. I'm pretty bleak. I swore I'd never sell that bike....turns out I didn't!
  20. The bikes were near a window so they smashed the window and grabbed the bike(s) without the alarm going off (sensor only "sees" into the room). Thanks man!
  21. How much fun is it writing about a stolen bike in South Africa when you live in Denmark you ask? Not much at all... They smash and grabbed my bike from my brother's house in Benoni. Fark I love this bike and there can't be many around any more. Please let me know if you see it.
  22. You're a braver man than I riding those cleats :-) I'm 99.99% sure Coolheat have them. I'm guessing most shops just don't stock them. I still have both sets I got as "starter stock" in my store 4 years ago!
  23. They are available but not very popular. In theory they're great for beginners but a much better idea is to set the release spring tension to minimum and use the single release cleats straight from the start. A cleat that releases in multiple directions when you're riding bumpy ground is dangerous in my opinion. Too many unintended clip outs. Min spring tension is really low on mtb SPD pedals so you should be get your foot out super easy.
  24. Well this is an interesting start to PR! Echelons and splitting with 200km to go is gonna hurt....
