  1. Brandon, did you not make use of a public forum recently to do your own bit of steam release?! Oh, and dont assume that outside of the cycling world our jobs are rosy and secure and that we all doddle to work on a Monday and everything is peachy. Don't get me wrong, I applaud what DCM Chrome are doing for our sport but as you say these things get complicated and there are many sides to a story. Good luck with the rest of your guys season.
  2. My car needs a wash. You interested?
  3. Your most noticable place to save weight is in the wheels. 500 grams off your weight in tyres and wheels will be a lot more noticable than a lighter fork. Economical however does not fit into your argument.
  4. Nice one Stefan. Good luck with the shop! THULE STELLENBOSCH! Click contact us up top of the page. Dirtbreath2009-06-02 09:04:48
  5. How about putting up a banner on the hub and assisting with some revenue?
  6. What colour is the frame? Just noticed now. Sorry about your loss. Dirtbreath2009-05-31 08:00:07
  7. Get hold of Agent Yang!
  8. I reckon DCM Chrome should chip in.
  9. Very cool. What age are these 2 bikes suitable from?
  10. That just doesnt look right. Shouldnt there be some rubber covering those steel feet?
  11. Hmmmmm. Have you tried closing your windows? Seriously though, Landies have smaller gaps in their rubber. Is that a VW roofrack? I would take it back where you bought it. How do the Thule racks fit?
  12. Hate to burst your bubble but the cup is not in SA at the moment. Crusaders are the current champs. Until Saturday that is. Chiefs have a huge task ahead of them.
  13. Post some pics of how they are mounted.
  14. Something for the techies. http://www.fallbrooktech.com/Nuvinci.asp
  16. There is a small gearbox inside there and you select gears with a twist grip shift. It is not automatic.
  17. Would love a Rohloff hub. The other option is a Nuvinci but they are not readily available. Dont think they have anything for a mtb either. See yourself on a yellow bike Mampara?
  18. Would love to but cant. Enjoy.
  19. I still have one that was replaced some time back. Worn but should be complete. Call me if you are not coming right.
  20. You can bet your money that the guy missing a chin wont think of going back and marking the dangerous spot. I put up some signage that I got from Ride magazine but apart from interest while I was busy ( I look good in my tool belt ) not many people stop to read. Granted, the content could be improved but shourly anything should spark that dim little bulb into action. We extremele priveleged to have The Spruit on our doorstep and if we dont self police fellow cyclists this might deteriorate badly. The alternative is a well maintained track that is good enough to keep us city cyclists off the road. There are a number of hubbers trying to get involved with council and although a lengthy process are seeming to be getting there. My efforts came unstuck and ended in me receiving some off record suggestions of things to do under the radar. Not a sustainable solution though. Find some mates and fix areas that looked damaged. Chat to other users and be polite when passing them. Engage selfish cyclists who might not know that their actions are being unsocial
  21. Mozambique?!?! Dude that is great news. Oh, and its Brazilians.......a la Bush.
