  1. Hi Guys, here is some of Crows feedback so far. If you have ridden the bike please give us some feedback "Initial impressions from everybody has been good so far. When I say initial I mean when first laying eyes on the bike. The blue, red and white create the impression of a MUCH more expensive bike. Riding impressions have been good all round. Haven?t had feedback from mintsauce yet. He rides a Titus Moto Lite so it?ll be interesting to hear what he has to say. From my side? I like it! Very much! Set up was easy and I found that I can run the bike a little softer than STD sag settings as it pedals good enough. This makes it a bit more plush. I?m not a big fan of the tires (Conti Mountain King 2.4 Tubelss) so I will try it with some Nevegals to get a better idea of cornering and traction. Rear tire is on the worn side as well which might be why the bike feels a bit skittish. I like the fact that it comes with a slightly shorter (70mm), than purely for XC, stem and the wider bar (680mm) is right up my alley. Not sure how many k?s the bike has on the clock, but the fork can do with some bedding. I will try and get that sorted in the time it is down here. For the price and spec the bike is light which obviously aids when climbing. Compared to my 15.2kg Morewood Mbuzi it?s a rocket! In single track the bike feels balanced with a natural feel to it. Haven?t done anything too technical on it, but will give it a go this weekend. A non-hubber will demo it Saturday and Alcino on Sunday. Doing a group ride on Saturday so the bike will most likely change hands on the go. Was riding with some friends on Sunday and between the four of us we kept swopping bikes to get a feel for it! Fortunately we all ride Mediums, are more or less the same height and weigh within 5k?s of each other! How weird is that! All but the girl who was riding with us of course. Will be interesting to hear what Mintsauce has to say..."
  2. Frames are duty Free
  3. Its correct Clothing was 40% and going to 45% as ive already posted here https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=49241 Example of calculation for you Customs duty is eg R1000 x 40% = R400 Customs vat is then R1000 x 10% = R1100 = R400 = R1500 x 14% = R210.00 Payable would be R400 Duty R210 Vat
  4. You dont pay the 10%, only the 14% on that add figure
  5. Frame are duty free, you will pay 14% vat though based on the following Value + 10% = R???? x14 % = Vat Even if its a gift you have declare a value Best is just to get a letter from relative stating the following "gift of no commercial value, value for customs purposes only ZAR ???" ngala242009-10-13 02:49:39
