  1. I think, just biuld it, ride it and take no ownership of it
  2. Hi 14 kg is onn the heavy side (unless it is a downhill rig) I recommend: under 13kg for full sus 29er under 12 kg for full sus under 11 kg for hardtail Anything under 10kg becomes very expensive I am sure there will be lots of opinions on this topic
  3. Hi I am currenlty riding the AMS 29er Race and loving it. On my third Cube bike now and everyone has been brilliant. The geometry and handling is the best I have experienced in any 29er. Looking forward to picking up my first Cube road bike soon.
  4. Thanks for all the help and tips. Looks like a trip to the LBS to check if it is the spring or a broken bit. Hopefully just the spring!
  5. Hi Internals. I have not opened it up yet so not 100% sure
  6. Hi I have 2012 SRAM X0 triggers, but I broke the rear trigger by pushing it too far (all my fault I know) What I would like to know is whether I need to buy a whole new trigger or can I fix it with new parts?
  7. I was quoted R44 999 from a LBS. Damm that is good.
  8. Just heard that this is arriving soon! I want you, pity I cant afford one yet.
  9. I test rode the Cube Acid 29er at Rietvlei and the geometry to awesome. The Agile Ride Geometry really does make a massive difference. After that I was sold on a Cube, beside the looks and the quality. Cant wait to collect this afternoon. Any recomendations on 29er tubeless kits. Which works best?
  10. I think I should maybe start a new thread. What tubeless kits work best for 29ers If you go the getto option of a bmx tire, will it still work on a 29er?
  11. I agree that is based on how and where you ride. I also believe that as the 29er geometries get better, the gap between the handling is getting smaller therefore not much room for a 650b. Thought?
  12. Awesome Recieved a call today to say my Cube Reaction GTC SL 29er has arrived. Will be picking it up tomorrow! Not sure if I will get any sleep tonight
  13. A good tip is not to have water in the camel pack pipe as it warms qickly, therefore a short blow to push the water back into the pack after each drink helps keep it cooler for longer. No need to blow hard and create a baloon out of your pack !
  14. I am a big fan of Syntace. Difficult to get hold off but well worth it.
  15. Not sure how they did it but I suppose thats German engineering. I know there is a new Cube design of mounting the front derailer, giving extra space and clearance. Clever b@stards
  16. That is a good question. I have just double checked the geometry and foot wont hit wheel when turning. I doubt the anal Germany engineers would allow that. I think that tends to happen when people try converting 26" frame into 29ers In no rush to get rid on the DT Swiss wheelsets
  17. I got a quote for R25 000, which I think is an awesome price for the bike. My last two bikes have been Cube and will definitely go the Cube route again. Thinking of mybe going the full sus 29er. Any thoughts in hardtail v full sus 29er?
  18. It is carbon with full XT except Formula RX brakes
  19. Super stoked. Just put my name on the waiting list for the new Cube Reactions 29 GTC SL. What are your thoughts? Geometry on the bike looks awesome. It has a standard 26" wheelbase, seat tube angle and fork angle!
  20. I tried at 11:59 when it actually opened and did not get a response back after pressing the register button. Then kept in trying until 13:20 and now on waiting list, even after doing it for the last 4 years. This is blows.
  21. If they are competitive (dont have to be the cheapest) I will support them. I agree in supporting companies that support cycling.
  22. Hi All I am looking at getting insurance for my bike. I would like to insure it against theft and damage. Must cover training and races, in SA and abroad. Any recommended insurance companies I can call to get quotes? Value of the bike R30K It would be great if I could get an idea of what you are paying so I know if I am getting ripped or not? Thanks
  23. 26" dual sus for me. I have seen enough people pushing their 29er up hill and trying to fix buckled wheels to cure me of 29er fever for life.
