  1. Thanks from the future! Printed myself a nice new knob.
  2. Radiolab is also very interesting. Will check these others out.
  3. Excerpt from the 2012 Jamis catalogue for the DAKAR XC SPORT (which is the only one in there with that type of crank): DRIVETRAIN Shimano Alivio M430 rear & M431 front derailleurs, Alivio M430 Rapidfire SL 9-speed shifters, Shimano Alivio M430 Octalink crankset, 42/32/22, Shimano 11-34 cassette Edit: The BB is probably a ES25
  4. That looks like a Shimano Octalink BB, You will need the BBT-22 from parktool, or similar. You will also need a crank puller to remove the cranks, like the parktool CCP-44.
  5. Lycra with 510's look very strange.
  6. Gravity Imports (Pty) Ltd. Tel: 076 902 6558 / 079 877 2071 e-mail: info@xfusionshox.co.za Last time I contacted them they had a problem with their mail system, so PM me if you would like his personal email address.
  7. When will you be getting in some more Race Face narrow wide?
  8. Thanks man, that is a good place to start.
  9. I am interested in buying an X-fusion Hilo adjustable seatpost. Before I go the online from the UK route, does anybody know if there is a local agent/importer?
  10. I've never tried it, but I've heard of people using hairspray.
  11. The IS mounts always need an adapter since the holes are at a right angle to what the caliper's needs to be. Post mounts do not need an adapter for 160mm discs since the post holes are in line to what the caliper's needs to be. If you have post mounts at the back, you would not need an adapter. but if you have IS at the back, you would need a 160mm IS to Post mount adapter. If you have IS both at the front and rear, you need to get a 160mm IS to post mount adapter for the rear and you can possibly move the 180mm adapter at the back to the front. If you have post mount rear and back, you can mount the rear caliper directly on the frame, and move the 180mm adapter to the front. If you have post mounts at the rear, and IS at the front, you can mount the rear caliper directly on the posts, and you need to buy a 180mm IS to post mount adapter for the front. And finally, the most common scenario, if you have IS at the back and post mounts at the front, you need to buy both the 160mm IS to post adapter and the 180mm post mount adapter.
  12. Depends on the disk brake mounts on the frame and fork. There are two standards, IS (international standard) and post mount. On the rear you'll typically have IS, and at the front post mounts are more common. Check out this article: http://www.bikeman.c...74mm-post-mount If you have IS mounts you will always need an adapter, but for post mounts you would not need one if you are running a 160mm disc.
  13. Does anyone have experience with these Rapide Ultralight hubs Kiwi sells?
  14. Who can sign this? I don't live near die spruit, not even close, but I do ride there often.
  15. The picture does says crest, but just to the right of the picture there is a dropdown menu to select all the other nice rims.
