  1. There's a few nice ones on page 50ish
  2. Are you into boys bums too??
  3. If they didnt steal my GoPro I would have taken that with on the next ride just to have something to share with you
  4. Oh my, so much laughing!!
  5. Unfortunately a shirt/kit won't work for everyone because some might ride for different causes or sponsors or are some sort of brand ambassador...
  6. Don't think he meant those type of dirt thoughts earlier on...
  7. Good. Who else will be joining? There's nice coffee /breakfasts places in Linden (or on our way back) if anyone is keen on joining from here. Otherwise meet us on route (Stevie might have to say which route we will use)...
  8. Linden to and around Cradle and back at max 28km/h ave? edit: added ave.
  9. I think it is up to each and every rider on the day to know what they are capable of and to honestly communicate it. Yesterday I knew before hand I would not make sub-3 or anything close (obvious reasons). I was just there to meet the people actually and to see how long I can actually hold on (by not making anyone wait/come back)...I guess I started with the 'wrong group' because trying to hold onto Wes's group burnt me within the 1st 22km. It was only then when Sheriff, Patch, Scott and Fat Boab came by and I jumped in, but I told Scott quickly I wont be able to hold on to their pace at that time and pulled out clearly. Then I saw Patch waiting for Fat Boab and I jumped in there (for obvious reasons too ... ). After a few kms there with them (where I knew it was Patch's aim to get us back to Sheriff and them on the M1) I almost forgot that FB was behind me and just told Patch to go (I think that was when Patch told/asked me to make sure FB was still there)...I would have head down and just focused on the wheel till we got back to the others, but realised when you are part of a string kinda having to look back and make sure the person behind you is still there AND to keep communicating that to the pacemaker is critical. THAT for me is something VERY important that I noticed in those few kms and it is quite tough. When I bailed there I also made a clear 'I am out', not a 'wait for me' or 'slow down'. I think overall this can work, especially because this was our 1st try and I think we learnt a great deal from it. I do think some of the people need to know one another, at least how they look before the time or even better have ridden together. I will be keen to try and keep this going and maybe some of us can meet up once a month for a "I team" training ride
  10. The whole of December I am in Canada (and it is going to be VERY cold)
  11. I must say one thing this 'idea' has brought upon me is that I feel like a person on drugs...I started riding distance in August this year (after almost 3 years of just 30-40km max rides) and on top of that most miles in the last 3 months on my road bike, this bug has bitten like I never thought possible. I can not wait for January to start training/riding more! I want more!
  12. It was the carrot, I understand Nice meeting you! Probably the longest I chit-chatted to a stranger pre-race start. Well done on 'taking it easy'
  13. So you agree he has a nice bum etc... Joh!
  14. I think I sat behind Patchelicious bum for about 1km (or 2 or so)... Yoh I think he became my new hub crush.. Drool ;-P Wes dropped me on the 1st hill (I told him he will). He had a carrot in front of his nose. Sherriff and Scott etc came up to me around the 22km mark, I was done by then (trying to keep up with Wes etc). My hand was dead before I got into town. I got nervous about braking and bumps then. My tummy gave my issues then too. Eish! I hanged on by a tread (soul searching for sure) to finish today! Was 30min off target, but chuffed just with the finish to be honest. Was great meeting some new folk and seeing the other hubbers for sure!
  15. Wes and I are in the pen already. Going to try get to the left front at the start of the group. We were at the circle but didn't see anyone..
  16. I think the group will split anyway, the goal I think should stay with getting as many over in sub3 (that was what tombeej would have come to help me and some other lads do from the start...I think it originated with me telling him on our ride the day before Amashova that I think I was ready /on my way that time to be able to do a sub 3 94.7 this year but I coudnt do it alone.)...now I'm sure I won't be in that group anymore, but I think it should stay the main goal. The rest that fall off can as discussed form smaller groups that can still come in with PBs.
  17. At least "It's complicated" also starts with an "I"... Like the other reasons "Injury" and "Illness"... Good luck with what ever it is!
  18. there you go.....
  19. So who of you all actually are 'slow starters' / take a little while to warm up? (But then the turbo's kick in and you can go till the end okay)
  20. Done
  21. And it isn't ponytail friendly :-/ One ends up with the ponytail in your neck which isn't nice for a road bike posture. Looks nice though.
  22. In the last 4 days I've spent 9 hours on the idt, that's about 280km....I'm going nuts! I miss the Cradle and the sun and the wind and the hills! Edit: it's true how they say "don't miss the water till is gone"... Anyone else actually realised how sweet the water is tasting these days? (I'm more referring here to how it seems we are really heading into a water crisis! Appreciate and protect while we still have it) sad
  23. It happens every year... (well I have read about it since I started riding)
  24. SO how many I-team members will be doing the twitter ride on Saturday? #justasking
