    Not just overseas. Seen them about 3 years ago at my nephew's school in Panorama in CPT and I do thing at CPT international airport they have those too. Edit: He is the one outside his school:

    I have been there before, stayed only for 2 days though but I couldn't fault other than the weather being much colder than the rest of the country (in the time we were there). Also the surroundings seems a bit 'cheaper' if you know what I mean, maybe because it is a big student town/city. Like mentioned, it is 'close' to Queenstown and the surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful (but then again, most of NZ is).

    I have a feeling because it is the communication link to Antarctica which has major (if not the biggest) research centers in the world. I know of many South African weather and climate research happening there currently and of course most of the travel to Antarctica happens from there too.

    I decided to do a solo-heatseaker this afternoon from home to the cradle (caves) and back. The distance would have been 120km but I had to 'phone a friend' at 103km to fetch me on Witkoppen because it was just too warm to do on water alone (6liters of water over the distance, crazy! ) Been loving riding Ghost the last couple of months @Valtevrede

    I had a perfect picture to post here today - it was taken this morning at sunrise 10km outside Parys... ...but then 5km from home in JHB they mugged me and took my phone, so pic anymore Fellow hubber and I rode from JHB to Potch yesterday (via Calrtonville) and back today (via Parys, Sasolburg, Vereeninging etc) ........good outing accept for the punctures (me, one per day) and the wind today....SHEESH!
