  1. And there in lies the major problem....how will CRC and CWC deal with the duties payable on shoes, clothing, helmets, water bottles. No doubt SARS will be on red alert regarding this merger
  2. Firstly the two entities are completely different. CWC caters for the local market, CRC are world wide in a big way. The big manufacturers like Shimano, Sidi, Mavic etc will insist that CWC buys their stock from the local importers, just like CRC do....CRC buy from the UK importers and not through their connections. There is no ways that these big manufacturers will turn their back on the local importers and ship their goods via CRC to CWC. Sure, there are products that CRC carry that do not have local representation. That is different and this possible merger will be great in that respect.I can almost guarantee you that if CRC were to ship big ticket items to CWC, the big manufacturers would stop supplying CRC immediately. It's their way or the highway.
  3. I'm actually thinking of setting up such a after sales service for the VELOFLEX brand. Problem is its very labour intensive and acutally I'll see myself spending most of my time repairing other brands.Of course when you buy tubbies there is no guarantee that you will not puncture, but it does help to buy the top end racing tubbies. Stay away from the cheaper training tubbies, regardless of the brand.
  4. Hey, there are still plenty of guys in Italy and Frnace that repair their own tyres. Then again they have no choice cos that's what they ride with, good old fashioned handmade tubbies.
  5. It's a very skilled art repairing tubular tyres. Does help if the tubular was originally sewn by hand and not by some robot. Good luck.
  6. Sorry what!
  7. The Castelli bibs are great, but like most manufacturers, its about quantity and not so much quality. According to manufacturers like castelli and others, kits and especially bibs are not made to last. They are also expensive cos in most cases they are made outside the EU, which unfortunately means 40 % duties.
  8. Castelli = great quality, but if you're looking for custom made kits, nothing beats the Ftech (by ASG) kits that are also made in Italy but cost so much less. With regards "made in SA.....well lets not go there for now.
  9. SM..... you're spot on. I did try to warn as many people as possible. The worse thing besides the poor quality is that Adiel himself wears the real kit and not the fake.. Now you go figure. Oh and by the way, the other reason why he is selling that crap so cheap is cleary because he's not declaring the stuff at customs. 45% duties is what you should be paying when importing crap clothing from china. You do the maths. Enough said.
  10. The other two Pegs in SA.
  11. Pegoretti......nice to know that I have one of only three in SA. oh, and it rides like a bike is suppose to ride.
