Hey guys! I love the look of deep dish wheels and disc wheels. Anyway I have a fixe project coming up, which also will be posted on the hub, and after seeing the all those hipsters overseas riding zipp and hed discs on the streets, why cant I? Well unfortunately I cant afford one. ( makes me wonder how they do it? Drugs? ) I've been a fan of this site for quiet a while, there are plenty of bike related stuff to build if your a handy with you...uhm well...hands. So heres the thread to make a disc : http://www.instructables.com/id/Aerodynamic-Wheel-Disks---For-your-Bike Was thinking along the same lines but building a super cheap rear wheel just in case. I would prefer a better finish. Like fiber glassine the disc on the rim and using body filler to get that all important perfect finish. A black spray job to top it all off, maybe even a silly hipster decal or two? So guys any suggestions or tips? Especially with the use of fiber glass, and where to get a thin plastic sheet like the one used above ('I am in the kzn area). I've worked with body filler before, but I am always open to tips. Keen too see if anyone has tried this before too.
