  1. Stupid question but are you Jozi based with beneficiaries up there? I have some stuff which is down in CPT.
  2. Is my 2016 time going to determine my seeding as I've not been on a bike since then? But I do have 12 weeks to get ready - and 10 kg's to lose.
  3. Jisliaak it. Sorry boys and girls. VERY very dissapointing of course. Not what anybody wanted today to be like but these things happen.
  4. Not sure if internationals are still in their own group. There used to be 2 but your last year's time (or 2 years ago) should get you a seeding which could potentially place you earlier than the international group sets off or later, depending on how well you did this year. You will be able to drop back if you want but obviously not allowed to move up groups higher than your allocated one. At least you have lots of time to get in shape if not the weather. I'm in Oudenaard for the Ronde van Vlaanderen Sportive 1st April which sounds a bit like an April fools with my current shape. Praying for good weather. Are you anywhere near there?
  5. What time is kick off?
  6. Also reckon I'm not going to pay just yet. Might do sub but doubt I'll be in shape.
  7. So I'm the only one who ain't invited?
  8. How old is Habana? Heading for Richie McCaw record at this rate.
  9. AKA John Smit.
  10. Sounds like the Highlanders was totally outplayed.
  11. One of my favourite stores We just got back from Italy (via Barcelona) and discovered all the stores are coordinated in having sales (July + January). We came back with 5 pairs of shoes and none of it was for the wife. We had to buy a cheap Chinese travel case to accommodate the "bargains". Totally agree. We are getting ripped off. Europe at least 20% cheaper even when it is not on sale. Less 20% + Sale Price + VAT return = Bargain Back to the bikes and planes issue.
  12. Thanks for that. Suits me better the 12th
  13. EVERYBODY SAY HOPLAA. Just going to leave this here.
  14. Event Name: 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour - Argus When: 12 March 2017 Where: Cape Town, Western Cape Category: Road The Cape Town Cycle Tour is turning 40 on Sunday, 12 March 2017 and we are so excited to commemorate this massive milestone of SA’s most iconic cycling event. 15. Are the Leeutjies playing lekke? Only have text updates. Score looks good.
  16. Will try thanks.
  17. Do I need to be a subscriber? Their videos are usually not available "in my region"
  18. Anywhere I can stream the games on the interweb???
  19. Would be interesting to know how EK explain this change but I suspect it has something to do with the bike boxes having to be loaded separately. Airports baggage infrastructure can't load those cases through the conveyor system but surely we are not the only ones. 55 Euro a kilo can buy some seriously good cocaine.
  20. You're right. No harm intended buddie. I agree. On the overall scheme of things. Better position to be in than last Sunday.
  21. On another note. You see that little bulge on the back of the players? The HR monitor in the jersey. Listening to Eddie Jones speaking he mentioned all the data they get in real time. They can see how far each guy ran during the game and othe stats. And they can monitor a player's recovery rate. If the HR remains elevated they obviously know his fatiguing. That could be due to a number of factors based on how the game plays out. A prop missing a tackle in minute 70 for example could be because the scrummaging rate is 15% higher because the game is slower, the ball is wet and results in more set scrums whatever. He reckons they use that to determine who to replace and why. If the coach has access to that kind of info it's not the players fault cause the coach should know when to take them off. Gives a bit of perspective to the replacements. Duane just had to come off but mostly it's because someone might have had a higher workload early on. The players apparently are on their limits by minute 70.
  22. I know it sounds cleche but his just too small. When I see how Combrick ran over "someone" for his first try and that Irish #10 runover by Peter Steph , the fatigue setting in Duimpie de Allende breaking those last 2 tackles I don't want to see a charging Savea one on one with Kolbe at the intensity a notch up from Super rugby. Just my preference. He has lethal step don't get me wrong but at this level he will be worked out no doubt and that WILL be neutralised somehow. It's what's happened to Willie.
  23. Someone came up to me this morning saying "better game by SA..." I said. "NO. Better last quarter." Then reflected how poor we were up until then. It was even worse because who would've thought we can play so badly after last week? I still think that first quarter giving away all those penalties in such a silly way should just never have happened at this level. Yeah it's a great win but we should just never have been in that position. No disrespect to the Irish but going down like that against a better side you can pack your bags at halftime and go home.
