  1. At half time I was about to start a petition to bring Oom Bakkies and P.Divvy back. Got let of that "lost cause" in the knick. Phewwwwww
  2. We already know the new planes can take a bike case without issues anyway so they have no excuse to make this a problem. http://m.arabianbusiness.com/emirates-increases-free-baggage-allowance-on-all-africa-flights-628837.html
  3. I travel on emirates all the time and it's seldom WITHOUT my bike. Never had a problem. As long as you're within the 30kg allowance a bike box and check in suitcase is allowed. Most of the time I'm over 30kg and I get away with it. These days I often get questions like. Is this a bike? You have any CO2 bombs in there? Did you deflate the tyres? They know what's cooking so I'm surprised about your experience.
  4. A few primary schoolboys would look better. Boks were clueless.
  5. Same here. Only I have no idea where I'm at. I haven't been on the bike regularly since March (ToGH + Argus). Came back for one ride a month later. Crashed. Haven't been back since. And had my cycling/racing budget terminated by my "home executive". Although I can't wait to get my head down as I kinda feel I'm breaking it all down (letting go of the fitness and watts) and will build it all up again from scratch. That is what I hope will get me to above what I used to be. My highest numbers had actually plateaued so hoping the time off will be good. Good luck with that bucket next to the IDT.
  6. Still in 2 minds about going this year. Touch and go at the moment.
  7. Might need SAIDS to explain why his passport didn't show abnormalities earlier.
  8. Think I read somewhere that Oakley is the kit maker. haven't seen anything from them before.
  9. Sounds a cracker. Great to have such an event on our doorstep.
  10. I hope the Cav'enator finds his legs next season. The man has been on the downward trend. Equally hope DD can put together a strong train or Cav will only just make the news for tossing his toys....
  11. Think I might like the DD colours a bit more. Hope they ditch Castelli.
  12. What is the difference between Continental and Pro-Conti.....? Never mind
  13. And that's a wrap folks....
  14. Thanks for this. Are there any particular sections one has to look out for on the new route?
  15. They sucker palmed a pair of socks (and something else-forgot what it was) off on me when I entered. Just wondering if it's going to be black or white as I didn't get to select an option. Guess they will surprise me or I must've done something wrong Wonder if I shall use my heavier bike for this flat course? Any ideas?
  16. So the team colours and kit can change to green and white? I like the prospect.
  17. To enter or not to enter? Just can't decide. Maybe if I get to "4.3"
  18. Same here. Haven't decided if I must enter or not. Might do the last minute spur of the moment.
  19. A kidney stone may not cause symptoms until it moves around within your kidney or passes into your ureter — the tube connecting the kidney and bladder. At that point, you may experience these signs and symptoms: Severe pain in the side and back, below the ribsPain that spreads to the lower abdomen and groinPain that comes in waves and fluctuates in intensityPain on urinationPink, red or brown urineCloudy or foul-smelling urineNausea and vomitingPersistent need to urinateUrinating more often than usualFever and chills if an infection is presentUrinating small amounts of urinePain caused by a kidney stone may change — for instance, shifting to a different location or increasing in intensity — as the stone moves through your urinary tract. I googled this and actually found what I felt in my lower back is nothing compared to the above or anything near resembling the experiences on the thread. Thank goodness.
  20. Man I had a very mild pain (more like a discomfort)in my lower back few weeks ago and thought it might be my kidneys from dehydration. It went away eventually after a day or so. No idea what caused it. I boil a lot of ginger of which I drink the water squeezed in some lemon. I then blend the ginger (with some fresh ginger added) with garlic, lemon with peel, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon into a paste of which I take a teaspoon every morning.
  21. Yoh. That was me. I was seriously traumatised by this fred
  22. Anything resembling a sub-3 means you're a racing snake. PERIOD. Anything over means you're a funrider. Kapeesh! That means less than 2.5% racers, a fraction of all them wannebees sporting lycra clad boeppies and expensive carbon machines pretending to the thrown of the "real racers"
  23. Yeah BAYBAYYYYYYY!!!!
  24. Any frame is at risk of cracking in that spot if the seatpost is not long enough. But with Giant' apparent weakness no doubt
