  1. No way! :w00t: How accurate is your gauge? I know my garmin isnt very accurate.
  2. The problem seems to be seeding cause in your "J" group it seems there was more stronger people than in "H". Thats if they'd gotten dropped, or that could also be the attitude in the 2 groups was just different? I know of someone who only every rides the Argus and gets seeded on his Argus result year after year. Maybe they should take a more global look at your riding activity through the year to gauge the strength of people and seed accordinly. Thats no good for me though cause I wont be doing any seeding events and no Argus this year will put me at the back end.
  3. Sorry to hear man. That is not good lady!
  4. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. Quite a traffic jam
  5. Spotted on FB. Rumuor mill suggesting they may run the race in reverse to split the groups on Suikerbos and make the race safer. How would that work as an idea?
  6. update from hospital Argus women crash- Cherise neckbrace, Jo vdW bruised knee, Robyn ribs not good. Get well very soon, supposed to fly to Europe on Tuesday

  8. "I'm very happy today! @ReinardtvRnsbrg took a great win here at the Argus today. I'm personally frustrated, touch of wheels, nearly crashed!" Arran Brown
  9. Helen Zille is in Simon's Town. This is where she was planning on getting onto a tandem to complete the race.

  15. Yeah all the best if you're lining up at the start. Stay safe!
  16. Having to unpack the suitcase I was meant to use in CPT right now.
  17. Works been getting in the way of the important stuff. Had my leave approved months ago. Last week decided to cut my trip down from 2 weeks to 2 days to fly down for the weekend. Now works had the last laugh. Not coming anymore.Still have to make the calls to cancel flight and tell the family I won't be coming. Gutted! DAMMIT! Going out tonight and I'm going to finish a hole bottle of wine by myself!
  18. You only really need "the 2 towards the end" me thinks. If you're still within range at those points you'll want to know about it. But yes, keep "average speed" on your monitor somewhere and you'll be fine.
  19. Sunday 11 March http://www.uncoverthecape.co.za/weather-report/images/sunny.gif 28º Fine with a moderate south-easterly wind well there is your latest! Any chips on how many times that is still going to change?

  22. Why is this thread so quiet or am I the only one getting excited.
  23. Final climb is 5.8 km at an average gradient of 10.3 percent, reaching up to 13.5 percent over the last two kilometers. 2400m for the hole stage! The one we were meant to do alas, hopefully next year.
  24. What ride? Oh that one! We never managed to secure permission from the Omani authorities to ride the full stage so the Green Mountain never happened, but we hooked up with some locals who took us over the climb of Hamriya and what they call their TT loop for a 90 km ride. The climb wasn’t too bad, 7 kms long going up around 400 metres with a few steep sections up to 18%. I know Cav and Tyler got dropped when the pros did it later that day so it’s definitely a climb.
