I am looking at buying my first pair of cycling shoes and pedals. I am not a fantastic rider but would like to get more into it. What shoes and pedals do you recommend, needless to say, which will not cost me an arm and a leg, but is still worthwhile buying? Age old trade off, price vs quality, I know.

OK, so you already mentioned the Garmin Edge 305, what about the Forerunner 305, it is more a running watch, but you just add your cadence sensor and off you go. Go multisport!! :-)

I went to a reputable LBS in Pta yesterday, and the guy told me that if I plan to do Triathlons with my road bike, I should get one size smaller. What is your opinion on this?

What do you guys take for recovery? If you are training hard them maybe you are just not giving your body enough time to recover. And yes, some form of Salt intake will help.
