Hi Zoonie It is an accepted fact that there are too many layers in the current licensing process - a situation CSA have already taken steps to address - and your particular frustration is a direct result of these layers and not the incompetence of either CSA or MyRace For what it is worth, you card was printed in this weeks batch and you can collect it from CGC tomorrow afternoon. You should have received system confirmation of this fact?

Hi Roger, You need to get your club to approve the application. Even they loaded it themselves. Apologies for missing the PM. You need to check with you province why you were levied a day fee upon entry. JC

    ple PM me...
  6. Hi Tri - ple PM Id number...
  7. Hi Michelle You are correct, except that in this instance it was me who dropped the ball on your requst, not the system. The sponsorship issue has been resolved and a re-print of your cards will be included in tomorrows run. Sorry for the trouble.
  8. You all seem to be having fun with this so sorry to interfere :-). The 'elite' age cat to which you are referring is the UCI code (you will see the UCI logo on the cards now).. all Racing Licences are International Licences for 2009. (This age category only reflects on racing licences...btw) Normal age categories apply for domestic (and international) events...
  9. Driewiel Please check with CGC again - the card was delivered to them at the end of last month. If they still come back with a negative we will reprint and arrange to get it to you direct. 10. Hi Hansie Don't worry about your street number... CSA won't be coming to visit, we just need a location (X:Y co-ordinate) to allocate you to the correct sporting province. Cards will also be distributed via courrier to clubs/provinces not via post. (Too many get lost and we have no way of tracking) Feel free to send me a PM or call (078 800 6502) if you need help. Regards Justin
  11. No... it should be a little more efficient than that. There are a series of auto e-mails to confirm progress of your card as it moves through the approval process...... Eventually notifying you that your card has been delivered to the collection point Due to some recent changes in the prvincial approval process.. these auto-emails have not been activated. You should start to see them coming through shortly....
  12. Hi Tankman Changing the club is a little complicated because it depends on whether the club you chose has confirmed your membership or not (I am guessing not in your case but a manual check is still required) You can call me: 078 800 6502 or send in a support ticket: support(at)myrace.co.za and we will fix it for you... Regards Justin
  13. Neither Springs, Germiston nor R42 have registered with CSA for 2009. They can get hold of me or Carinus and we will be happy to help if there is a problem. As for CGC, we have no clarity from them as to how they are going to treat direct affiliation for 2009... e.g. form their own 'CGC Cycling club". In which case they also need to register one with CSA.
  14. This is another positive. Because CSA now have access to clean and accurate rider information, all racing licenses include a UCI code and international race licence component (less the extra R200!). Your ability to race outside of your age group (eg elite) will depend on your national seeding (run by CSA) and the event status... some exciting stuff in the pipeline. Carinus can respond in more detail if necessary... Guaranteed there will still be a few teething problems but we have been hard at work since last year, improving every aspect of the licence application and distribution process.
  15. As for editing details... this depends on what stage you try to edit. If you have already submitted the application, it's as if you have faxed off the form. You MAY still cancel (notifies the relevant party) but you can't edit because it is already sitting on on someone else desk for approval... stated in simple terms. You may edit your details at any time by logging into your profile on the MyRace website. (give this a day or three because we are releasing a new version with more functionality.. )
  16. The postal/physical address question seems to be quite common...We will put an explination on the site to explain.
  17. CyclingSA no longer need physical or postal address.. they can't use either (Carinus not into dropping by for tea) and posting cards is a nightmare. About 30% get stolen because they look like credit/loyalty cards. This year all cards will be sent via courrier to your club/province. To arrive hopefully no longer than 3 weeks after you applied. We use the address field to get an X;Y co-ordinate, which allows us to accurately place you in the correct sporting province.. so your vote and racing points are correctly allocated. (this is why you can now license through any club in the country, should you so wish) Ridr. Please e-mail me more detail on your application. I need to know if you paid club membership fees, CGC fees etc in adition to the licence fees before I can assist with this.
  18. Stringbean (and anyone else who might be involved on a club committee) Each club that completes the online club registration, will be given access to an approval screen shortly (that's if you have not got it already..) which looks something like the one below... This will allow the club administrator(s) to view the status of each members licence application and to facilitate the approval thereof ... incl contacting the member via the system and to edit and fix mistakes if necessary. This should make the approval process a WHOLE lot quicker and easier. If you are (or not) on your clubs committee... make sure they have registered with CyclingSA (about 100 of 300 already have) and/or contact me directly if necessary... justin(at)myrace.co.za
  19. Most cards are sent by post direct to the applicant. Although some clubs have requested that cards go through them - more reliable method, but not all clubs are prepared/equipped to do the admin. TCS handle their members cards, so check with Carel and let me know if not so I can sort it out. Justin
  20. Hi Guys <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Justin here from MyRace.... firstly, thanks for trying out the new site and for the feedback, both positive and negative. Anyone who has had troubles with their online license app is welcome to send me an e-mail me at justin@myrace DOT co.za. There have been problems with the registration process but there have also been some 1200 odd SUCCESSFUL applications..... And we remain 100% committed to improving the 'user experience' to minimise those negatives. (Please bear in mind that this in not a ?simple online shopping cart? system and involves Club, Provincial and national rule sets to be applied) The online license procedure is as follows; 1. Register with MyRace/CSA on the cms.cyclingsa.com website 2. Use the activation code to confirm your e-mail address 3. Complete the application process, entering your license, province and club. Before we can issue a license, we need to get approval from your club and province in terms of CSA/UCI rules. This is the single biggest hurdle that we face at the moment, so if your application has stalled, please check with your club that CSA have the latest contact details?.. If you are unsure as to where your application stands, then use the ?CHECK MY STATUS? option on the cms.cyclingsa.com website. If your status is ? ?REGISTERED WITH MYRACE?, then you need to logon, complete the application process and pay. If it says ? ?PENDING INTERNAL APPROVAL?, then your application is sitting with your club / province for approval ? and you need to get them to update the status or contact us. Otherwise, thank you for your understanding while we sort out the last few bugs? we promise that the system will add huge value to your cycling experience in the near future.
