  1. Ok, just from past experience the earlier the better but not at the crack of dawn, that for during the week haha Level 5 sounds good to me, there are single tracks further up but the bulk of the single track start from Mamba and is a lot of fun 9am or 11am are both good for me just find that sometimes by 11am the weather can change! Agreed the more riding you can do the better you become I am happy with 9am and will add you to Whatsapp shortly, good idea
  2. Ok, might have a few other who could also join at that time but will let you know otherwise might be a bit too late for me! You guys can lead the way and I will follow, but maybe up to Mamba and back down via the single track?
  3. Right finally managed to use my Extremelight 1200 and let me just start off by saying I am one happy rider No disrespect to Magic Shine and Pyro Lights but for the price even at R699 when times are tough and the economy is even tougher... this light will not damage your wallet! I was very happy with the lights performance this morning, for a non-technical ride up to the Blockhouse and back down I was very happy Wes, I would be more than happy to recommend this light for use in the night along the trails!
  4. What are you looking for?

  9. Haha... word of a wise man and agreed a picture is worth a thousand words John'o was taking all the pictures on Saturday with his phone and apparently got some really good ones of us even conquering a table top
  10. John'o, thank you again for the awesome lessons today, we really learnt a lot today! Hope you managed to get some awesome pictures of us :-)
  11. Always keen on meeting more riders but will have to make it next time!
  12. Firstly hi zombie.zerg, secondly sorry to hear about your experience today on the trails of Tokai. I can't speak for everyone who was riding at Tokai today but I can speak on behalf of the riders that I was with this morning. We were actually on the trails this morning from 11:00 to get some lessons on how to jump. Now the group consisted of a mix bunch of baggy shorts and spendix riders, great bunch of riders. Always greeting fellow riders, shouting out "rider/s" to each other to move off the trail to not disturb any of the other riders on the trails. Riding in the trails with BIG smiles on our faces and lots of laughing. I know of other spendix riders and baggy riders who also share this friendly nature as well as members in my own family. Like I said, I was sorry to hear about your experience today on the trails but there are friendly riders on the trails. Btw, I wear spendix to ride in haha hope to see you on the trails soon. Look out for us the next time that you are in Tokai. We are the bunch been taught how to jump, stopping on the side and chatting :-)

So, AM bike, what sort of pedals should it have or do they mostly have on them, flat or clipless pedals? I currently ride with clipless pedals so there would be no getting use to them phase and I do feel comfortable with them

Haha... is that not what usually happens when it comes to some/most of our bikes... few months/years down the road and the frame is the only part that remains constant but I know there are exceptions out there

Thank you for the history lesson on Commencal and the META frame from what I have read above the META frame/bike is the direction that I need to head into, AM bike that I can use to climb and every now and then a little XC is what I am currently looking for. Few extra KG's is not going to kill me up those hills!
