Yes... my bike also needed a serious service after the Gravel Travel but luckily no new chain required! Mud was all over the front derailer which resulted in only having a few gears available for the rest of the race. So river crossing are going to be the next best thing. Any recommended chain lube? Yes... cleating was also a major problem in the Gravel Travel!

oi... Gravel Travel was bad for me... honestly not in the mood for a repeat of that ride. Any advice on how to get the mud away from the chain besides carrying an extra few litres of water?

Have some family in Somerset West... apparently the Lourensford river burst its banks and its been raining a lot since yesterday. Lets hope by Sunday the trails are at least OK to ride in
