I am also doing the "other" race in villiersdorp and thats R60 for the 35km...

I have ksyriums and im 125 kilos and have no issues. My brother thats in the high 140s have borrowed my bike a few times no problems. On my MTB I have the standard Giant wheels, XTC 0 29er also no problems.

1 month to go! My training got a bit of a hit after i tore my ankle ligaments but ive been back on the bike for a week now. Wont be chasing a time anymore now its just a finish!

I live on a farm just outside somerset west. My brother and sister previously lived in the house and they both had incidents. My sister came home one night to find half her belongings on the lawn outside and the rest gone. My brothers wife woke one morning and some of her cigarettes were taken from table next to bed after my brother had left the house. The stupid idiot also took a mouth full from the polony in fridge and then discovered the left over shooters from a bachelors...they found the guy passed out in the vinyard third row from the gate of the yard. Since 2007 ive been living in the house and ive always had a german sheppard and recently got a second one and ive never "touch wood" have had a days problems! But i always keep my house closed no one needs to see what i have inside. I made up stories about my dog when i moved in about i got it from my dad because he bit the gardener...and my dogs act all agressive when ever people are visiting. Had an issue once where telkom guy was stuck on his bakkie meanwhile the dog just wants a neckrub. None of the farm workers dare to come into my yard unless im there holding the dogs.

Friend of mine lives in rondebosch. They broke into the yard 3 times in two weeks to steal his dads building material. Then the fourth time they came into the house. He woke up hearing them downstairs and he and his wife with their 3 month old baby is upstairs. He made a noise not wanting to go confront them and they luckily left. Taking tv, laptop and the babys cot!

Mine broke in exactly the same spot going down Edinburgh drive on the argus - it bounced at 40km/h and broke open and all the pieces went flying. I picked up what i could and continued with the race. It was the third time i used the mount. I contacted omnico and they told me to bring it in. Replaced the mount and gave me brand new camera seeing that mine had some tar marks on it with in 3 days. (tried to organize a buy-in for an upgrade but they didn't want to budge ) I threw the new gopro mount in the cupboard and bought a K-edge and have been using it on all my MTB rides without issue. It also took some of the shaking out of the video as well, the k-edge is alot more stable thatn the gopro mount. Some where someone mentioned that on the epic gopro themselves use k-edge mounts....dont know if its true though.

Ive already replaced rear rotor and will soon the front one as well. But on the other hand people always hear me coming up behind them so they tend to move faster!

I have elixer 7s with 180 front and 160 rear and i am one of those "bigger" guys at 115+ (more on the plus side) and i have no issues stopping!

I love the blue route at the vodacom tower...the non mountain side. That quickie breaks me everytime!

Theres update out which might help. Do you upload from device. What ive noticed is if you save to pc first it works better.

If driven with two mountain bikes on the rack without issue and took both my road and mountain bike with me on holiday in december without any issues.

Its from a bit far away but all i have now!

I cantacted them last week and asked about the waterpoints and got told that there will be one on the 45 at the 30km mark where med and long route splits. Something just told me to pack my camelbak rather on the day and i was glad i did as the water point never happened. Dont think ill be back again.
