    As i said on the other thread, luckily on friday afternoon the doc said i must give it a skip. My riding partner also went OTB because the rider infront of him fell because of the bees. (he was riding a bergamont) he pulled his shirt over his face to protect it and started running. Apparently running into a fence and got stung even worse. The medics took out 26 "angels" from his back alone but they went to town on his head through his helmet. he also had bad fever etc on saturday evening. Saw him yesterday and he looks like a 15 year old going through puberty. He was very upset because they had to wait quite a while at the end for his bike to arrive. And not to mention the guys picking up the bikes and transporting them had no respect for the equipment judging on all the scratches on his frame. Does anyone know what the official word from organizers were regarding this?

    yeah i heard, luckily i pulled out last minute due to a cold but my buddy got stung 26 times on his back and apparently they "raped" his head. On saturday evening he had hot and cold fevers and was throwing up but now he just looks like a 15 year old girl going through puberty!

    I didn't say they didn't deserve it all i said was i would like to see someone win it thats not on a bike worth more than an entry. yes i know thats not what this comp was all about. But thats the joys of freedom of speech and public forums.

    Yes it was a bit tongue in cheek and jab at the spez owners, watched the videos now and i see the one outjie that was in the accident has (have) a spex helmet but then i noticed they both on tallboys...getting worse.

    One day i would like to see a W2W comp where the winners are actually people who cannot afford to do the W2W and not poeple on full suss carbon machines and fully spez kitted.

    I dont understand this comp, do you have to ride that exact distance between you and your would be partner on one ride or is it accumulating through a number of rides or do you have to ride more than that distance. See that gets me confusing and then i move on to the next comp. They are leaving themselves open to too many questions...

    After not getting an invite from my broker last year i moved all my policies over to discovery. Guess i wont get one this year either. Or maybe he should because i might send some more business his side...thats what happens when your broker is a golfer and not a mtber. If you open it to the public, is it still an invitational?

    Received the profiles, and apparently the 60k route has water points "every +-20kms".

    I phoned the number on their website and no answer, emailed them again and was told they will let me know before end of day today...

    I just imported a converted kml file to gpx file into garmin connect. The reason i did it we are planning a new route to ride this coming weekend. We plotted it on google earth and then i converted kml file to gpx and manually imported it on garmin as an activity so that i can convert it to a route so that we can follow it on the edge. My point, the data synced to strava and when i opened the ride it looked very similar to this. Mine was just dated to 01 jan 2010 but also night ride etc. Not saying it is what happened here just saying what happened to me.

    Still no updates on profiles or amount of climb for each route? In Grabouw you can get a lot of climbing over a short distance.
