I have spend a lot ( bought my first MTB from Maniac R14000-00..no problems ) Groupsets etc,etc. But I have also sold a lot on the hub. The Q for me is not" how much have you spent on the hub"? But rather how much can you affort to spend on the hub? I know of one character here that does not have a cent to wipe his a$$, but he is forever digging into his bond to keep up with the "Joaneses" I find that quite sad. Sorry drifting of the topic.

One very lucky crew and pax here. I just got the picture and don't know why this happened,look at the fence underneath the main gear,it's gone !! This happened out of Schipol Amsterdam and I would imagine they were pretty heavy if they( Eva Air ) was off to there home town Tapei. Dang, I would have Sh!t myself if I was onboard that machine.

Yip Racetec is up and running, just got myself and my friends results, was spot-on.............very chuffed with the time my friend rode,he is 65 and said it will be his last over 60-70 km race as he just don't enjoy the distance anymore,so I rode it with him for the second year, but it look like it was the last time as he said he is in for the 63 km next year. 02H57 is not bad for a 65 year old(young) timer...........I think ? Well done Brummer !! ( he cursed me for at least 80 km's of the way for talking him into another 95 km BelaBela )

OB work on all my bikes recently as I refused to support Mervin Dinkelmann after he simply just walked away from a bike he packed and send away with the frontwheel still with the scewer fitted to in been put into the box and not securing to anything. Yes thank you, I bought a new Fox F 32 Series with remote lock-out from Dealer01 at a KNOCK-out price,so now the bike has got a new remote lockout shock. OK now the next Q is going to be , "what happened to the one that came off the bike" ? Well I sold it to : Chunkey Munkey .(it did not even reach the hub )

It make's me MAD ! ..............I drove back from the Indaba hotel in Fourways this mornig to Eldoriagne through Mnandi small Holdings , just to see a elderly cyclist walking next to road without his bike.................I turn around...........( I ask him" why are walking cripple and where is your bike)he was injured and been bike-jaked. Got full XT on my bike except for the Magura brakes, and I prefere the XT brakes feel..................strange how we all differ hey. Some like German cars others do Jap scrap............like me .

"Just one question why dump the maguras they are lovely brakes I didnt have a choice on my setup as my bike was heavily modfied when I got it, but if i had had a choice I would have gone with the maguras" I have XT brakes on my other Merida( FLX5000) and I prefere the feel of the XT to the Magura,I suppose it boils down to preferance. I have got a complete XT spares brake kit, so it will not cost me anything to try it out.

Hello, I have a Merida 96 3000-D with Magura Louise Brakes as std kit to this bike, I want to change to Shimano XT brakes as I have what I think is needed to do the change( brake levers, calipers with pads, brake housing thats bleed). What I would like to know from you fundies , can I mount these XT brake calipers straight onto the Magura mounts that come standard with this bike? Also would it be better to change the Magura 6 bolt rotors(180 mm) to Shimano 6 bolt rotors? I am very dump with these things. Thanks in advance for the help !

I tend to agree with one of the statements made here re "as new" and " brand new" ( there is imho a difference). I have got no intentions of starting a "open forum fight" with seller, I purely just wanted to confirm that the avg hubber understands the"brand new" concept the same way as I did when I purchase this item. I have emailed the seller and brought to his attention that this item is not brand new, however he has advetized is as brand new.
