  7. Thanks for the replies guys, the shock has made a turn a Merida and came back and the LBS says they are not happy with it, the machanic at the LBS is a very well known and respected guy(did I say"OB") and he's not to sure whether this shock is ok.......... ??? Why does Merida now want to see the complete bike Huh I don't understand that one ?
  8. Hello all, I have a Merida 96 - 3000 D that is 8 months old with 1200km on the clock( easy, well cared km's).The rear shock something like a X-fusion ( standard kit that came with the bike), packed up two weeks ago at the Diepsloot Dare( did'nt want to lock) well , I took it to my LBS who in turn removed the shock from the bike and send it to Merida for inspection-possible warranty claim, it came back and my lbs is not happy with the shock and contacted Merida, who now agian want's the complete bike for inspection. Any one else had a similar problems with this shock ? What do you guys recommend to do ?? What other shock will do the same or better job than this X-Fusion ? I like the bike and the whole set-up a lot, but this rear shock packing up so soon worries me ! Please any advice would be nice , thanks Gustav
  9. I dont think so, when you download your file it charges aswell, the battery life is also very good, I think they talk about 18 hours, so I would say 12 hours will be very safe to work on. I have had a flat battery .......yet
  10. Very interresting Fanie Fiets,I have just forwarded it to a friend of mine that what I think is"Excirsed induced Asthma",thanks for that.
  11. DITTO !! I have not missed my Polar once , not ONCE, just the way I have experienced the Edge 500, not a single hick-up so far.
  12. I changed all my water bottle cages to the Servas MTB cage, it got a small peice of rubber at the bottem of the cage that"hooks-holds" your waterbottle. I have never lost a bottle again when I go over any hump etc. With out a doubt best cage if loosing waterbottles is your concern. If you want, I will email you a pic of the cage, just pm me your email address.
  13. I think if you buy a new Subaru, you will be GIVEN a entry as part of the deal !! Goodluck with the vehicle finance And enjoy the ride, well that's now your new Subaru and your bike
  14. Eish the Hub is a college of knowledge !
  15. My sentiment aswell,it's sick !!!!
  16. I took my Maguras off my Merida and fitted XT( I had the brake set lying around, so I was bored) I can't recommend the change, I think the Maguras is better.Never had a sqeak or noise coming from them. So my humble opinion, keep your Magura Loiuse on your bike and get your wife a set aswell.
  17. "But I am sure loads of other informed people will correct me, point out flaws and your simple question will become a discussion in physics, torque, ego and who goes faster." Beautifully said , thanks for the afternoon free laughter !!
