  1. You know I haven't been on the hub for a while but nothing seems to have changed. Still filled with lots of people who have nothing better to do than bitch about stuff that should actually be exciting. Maybe some of you guys should do the stage race. Sure they have a category for Biatches aged 2-4. LOL!
  2. Those are real. You can see by G3 rear spoke pattern, the skewers and the wheelbags. I used to own a set. The spokes should also be slightly flat and if never tensions aligned with direction of travel.
  3. Good day to win some cash. Just fiund out that if you use your visa card to pay you get an extra sticker. There are also a whole lot of Kias to win.
  4. Oh, so my one mate had a good laugh when I told him about this. Told me I was getting weird. Yesterday he pops over with some stickers. Says to me "just in case it works, wouldnt mind some spare cash." hehe i had a good laugh cause he never eats McDs. Taking one for the pocket team.
  5. First stickers arrived. Have some near complete sets already. Keep sending them guys. Thanks so far.
  6. Not sure about happy meals. Never bought one.
  7. Try a supersized milkshake after a longride. Sort you out onetime.
  8. Great! Thanks very much! I wish we could all get something from this venture.
  9. Hi I can offer you the amounts as per the firsr page as it all depends on when I receive them and if I win a prize with them. So the sooner you post and I receive them the better your chances are. I need to be fair to everyone, but can also only pay out once I win.
  10. Awesome! Hope we get the twin then! Keep you posted once I do.
  11. Oh and thanks for sending those through. Pls dont forget to add your contact or I will have to send it to a needy charity.
  12. Yeah. It would be based on the first stickers received. Will make it fair. I am guessing the dark blue are rather scarce though. They probably only printed like 10 of one of the two.
  13. Hey fabs. Thats probably good cause your name may have been flabs if you did.
  14. Thanks Generate! I was starting to wonder if I was the only one eating fast food here.
  15. I have an XTC Composite 29er. I did a lot of research on it before I bought it and I can say from an engineering point of view that it is a solid piece of engineering. Riding it is a dream too. I bought it because I am more of a power type rider than a billy goat mountain climber. It is everything they advertised when they said it was super stiff when it came to power transfer. It delivers almost everything to the rear wheel. If you do some youtube searches there are some of a German world cup rider who the bike was designed for. Cannot remember his name, but he says the same thing about the bike being super efficient. I know this is about 27.5s but the guys would have employed the same design principles or better on the 27.5 as they did on the 29er. For anyone here reading that is looking for a new bike I am selling mine. See my classifieds.
  16. Those guys on the PC gaming forum are too clever. They will write and app that will send it to every living South African directly when he comes into range of the McDs wi-fi and then Im screwed. But hold on, you have a good point there. So how may cyclists do we have out there that do enjoy a good McBurger from time to time?
  17. Honestly. I only eat McDonalds when I get sick and need some fat to make me feel stronger. Probably why I never had the idea before. I got sick last week. Guess something good came out of the flu bug. Well, hopefully.
  18. Hi Everyone I am trying to raise funds for a project I am working. In order to raise the amount needed I have had start thinking creatively. This morning I had an idea that I need everyone's (well only those who are cheating their cycling diets) help with. As with most things in life people will be more willing to get involved if there is something to be gained in return. With this idea there will be, if you are prepared to spend about R3 and five minutes driving to your local post office. This will be a trust based program and done in good faith. Here is how it will work. McDonalds is currently holding a monopoly competition. As with all good competitions there are only a few lucky people who ever end up winning these prizes. If you are as lucky as I am then you probably will not win anything by the end of this competition, but hopefully we can all change that for a brief moment in history. Basically, for every medium meal and up you will receive a sticker or two equivalent to a monopoly card. Collect a certain combination of cards and you win prizes ranging from Ster Kinekor movies to R100,000 in cash. The trick being that the chances of winning these prizes by the 17th November are slim if you calculate your probability of getting the right cards for the few meals you can actually eat before that date. This is where you come in to help. You post me your stickers and in return I will send you the below should I win. Each sticker has a specific code on it. I will document these codes together with your name, email and telephone number that you are to mail together with the sticker. If I win I will then contact you and give you your part of the prize that I offer below. Simple as that. Like I said, this is based on trust, but the most you have to loose is R3 on the stamp and the trip to the post office. I will pay you the following once I have received any prizes I may win. Brown cards - Will pay you R250 Light blue cards - Will pay you R350 Pink cards - Will pay you 750 Orange cards - Will pay you R750 once I sell the item Red cards - Will pay you R1500 Yellow Cards - R2500 once I sell the bike. Green cards - No offer as I cannot sell this but you welcome to send it anyway. Dark blue cards - R20000 as I will be taxed on this and thus the sum greatly reduced. So for anyone interested in helping me raise funds for my project and also possibly getting something back, please send your Mac D stickers to: The Break 140 Cabernet Oude Libertasweg Stellenbosch 7613 Hope you guys enjoy some lekker McDs soon! Thanks for helping out!
  19. The Cape was our last stand in SA. After being here for some really good years we have looked at our last option. Its not for everyone, but when we had considered crime stats, rape amd murder stats, socio economic reforms in place, state of our education system, upcoming political leaders, our ranking as most corrupt country in the world, the drop in our priduction of foods and slow move towards being more of an food import vs export based country, the state of our electricity supply and how that may affect our economy moving forward, the poor governance and lack of management of our state, health system, police, etc and many other factors related to what those in power elude to with regards redistribution if wealth, there really is only one option for us to give our children a stable life, something we would not have had if our folks had not left Zimbabwe. So we are about 2 month away from packing our container and moving down under.
  20. I hope you get caught one day for driving over the limit and get locked in a cell with a guy who f..s you in your anus! It is guys like you who killed my daughter two years ago because you think you know better. Your day will come.
  21. The answer is much deeper than just cyclists. It is the attitude of the average South African in respect to the law and toward his fellow citizen. He feels he is above the law and comes first and foremost to all others. We are far from what we should be to be classed as a first world nation where our country not only has a first world approach in business, politics, education, etc, but its citizens have a first world mentality towards the state as well as the community of fellow citizens as a whole. Unfortunately one cannot change the minds and hearts of what we have here very easiy so my guess is things will get a lot worse before they will get any better. Unfortunately for all of us.
  22. I have done a lot of business with chinese manufacturers and all i can say is that anything fake will not be correctly tested even though they say it is and provide you with the test repirt. They are of the most corrupt and unethical business people on earth. I would not trust a chinese made carbon bicycle unless backed and controlled by a reputable brand/company who distribute via official channels. Buying cheap and fake will most probably land you in hospital when it fails on you at 90km/h on a descent. Rather pay your hospital fees ip front and buy a bike you can afford from a reputable company.
  23. Fake vs. Genuine? Lets put it simply. You will only truly know just how much of an advantage a genuine bike has over the poor quality fakes when you have ridden entry level right up to tour level bikes. There is no comparison. Bikes make a massive very percievable difference to performance. Unless you have ridden the real deal you wont umderstand it. So to all the smart alecs who comment without experience, rather get some first.
