  1. So so sad....lost for words...
  2. With the boot open....maybe not drafting , but rather pomping some lekker tunes for the wife....outdoor spinning!
  3. I'll maybe save this pic for my daughter just before she has any ideas.....but I'll agree some nice ink pics on this thread
  4. Best advice: start with four wheels....
  5. I agreed 100%, rather just get a decent hard tail for R4000-R5000 and get into the whole cycling thing before splashing out loads of money and regretting it within a couple of months. 26, 29 who cares, just go out and ride. If I knew then what I knew know, I would have made much better choices when I bought my first bike. A new dual suspension bike for R12k sounds suspect to be honest. I bought my first bike at sportsmans warehouse about 5/6 years ago and I have probably spend triple the amount upgrading the bike with new components to the point where nothing is left of my original bike at a massive cost, everything as a result of an impulsive decision without any knowledge. Welcome to the Hub and many happy Km's
  6. Senokot tablets, definitely made my bowel movement faster
  7. I was one of those plebs starting from the back and have been for a couple of years. Every year I try to improve my time to get a better seeding for the next year....I do not yell or scream at the slower riders when trying to pass them on the right, but at times it can be so frustarting when it is a double lane road with no way to pass...coming down past the Zoo I almost nicked a lady riding on the right doing 20km/h and sitting on her brakes. My point is that at times I can fully understand the frustration of some of the riders trying to pass by. On a lighter note, that Violin lady should be a permanent fixture on the race, she just made that boring piece of road towards the N14 a pleasure!!!! Music was not to shabby either... Thumbs up for one of the better 94.7 races in recent times!
  8. maybe it is just the time of the year????
  9. I will second that!
  10. Does anyone have a map of the 60km route in suikerbos? please Last time we went riding in suikerbos, we got completely lost and ended up at the Protea Hotel, everyone cramping and no water/drinks left...we had to organise a lift with one of the Protea staff bakkies (at a cost) back to our cars...what a day...how embarassing If anyone ever tells you JHB is flat...give Suikerbos a try! It was great when it lasted
  11. The best looking saddle is not necessarily the most comfortable...
  12. The instructor that pretends to turn up his resistance to level 8, although it is fairly obvious he/she is free wheeling... When the spinning class changes from a workout to theraphy session, for example: 1-Imagine yourself taking off and just fly... 2-Today is the first day in the rest of your life...
  13. Spinning on Zorba the Greek....
  14. Impossible, but worth the pain! The hardest is to keep your pose with all of those mirrors around and pretend you did not notice anything out of the ordinary....Funny that those are exactly the classes always packed with old toppies I have never seen before..
