100%… the game has changed, I remember the days when Specialized was the new kid on the block and Mike was all for serving the average rider. Many earlier interviews had him pinned as a market disrupter with his value targeted products. There was nothing like it is today. Specialised quickly swooped hats and became a premier brand and out rolled the yuppie wanker concept stores across the globe! Folks riding a bike has became a more complex affair, Our obsession with weight and all its glory has become insane. We used to use our equipment till it broke, we never got new bikes every year. We’ve created this monster… , and it won’t stop till someone figures out how to throw this thing off the mountain. The amount of waste we produce for the environment with our carbon bikes is another reason cycling will change… with every country going green, all industries will have to confirm.

I think the best tire manufacturer that is making huge development in this arena is Michelin, they got a unit that’s used for racing and it helps drivers actually know when to lay off the brakes etc or when to save… it’s incredible because now you have the engineer in your tire verses in your ear! 😅 If this comes to the Pro Peleton, I can see various situation play out. team on radio…. : push push , you must cross to break. You can do it! It’s just 45 seconds… Rider: … hang on, my tire just send a notification… it says… Team on radio: I said push…? Yeah overseas the tires are cheaper only due to price wars and market share among the brands, there is far more choice, I mean lots of good brands like terravail , IRC etc. Here we generally have a handful so they kind of Cornering market and of course low volumes and middleman rent to pay, we help the whole chain. It’s called capitalism, man’s own self destruction tool. 😬
