  1. Hi Flatdog7 I have one available. If you willing to pay Postnet costs its yours. Sean
  2. Hi Dave That Ultegra 6500 groupset is close on to nukebomb-proof, or so mine has proven to be. I'm pretty sure the shifters, derailleurs, brakes and crankset are all salvageable with a good clean and service. The bottom bracket you will need to check carefully - they becoming pretty scarce - if you looking at keeping the groupset check out the vintage classifieds - there was 1 listed for sale. Chain and cassette replace. Regards Sean
  3. Did just that. Got the missus to book tickets (and pay for, nogal ) for yesterday's performance by the Libertas Choir. Full house on a late Sunday afternoon. Performance fantastic and acoustics really top notch. Thanks for the recommendation guys
  4. Hi DJR To be honest i was just searching for the John Legend original (searched the song title without the artist name) and came across this rendition by the US choir. Glad I did. I just love the way the YouTube search algorithm works. There are times when it comes up with the weirdest results and then times when it suggests some real gems. The "weird flower" is as a result of a link followed, somehow totally unrelated to my original search if i recall correctly. I loved the weird flower version of the Donna Summer classic
  5. Ironic since i'm posting a link to a video clip, but I'd like to ask that you close your eyes when listening to this. I feel that its probably one of the most haunting pieces of music that i've heard

  7. Surprising number of Alu frames thus far ????
  8. Woke up this morning really not in the mood for a ride. Seriously pooped from a tough 2 weeks. Convinced myself to get on the bike knowing I'd feel better after 15 minutes in the saddle. Glad I did. Wouldn't say it was the greatest ride but at least the legs were turning and the soul was at peace ????. Got to wondering while riding; what are my fellow Over 50's riding? We all probably grew up riding steel frames, progressing to aluminium and now on carbon fibre. Guessing some of you still appreciating the feel of steel and maybe even aluminium. I'm lucky enough to still be able to ride all 3 and enjoy each for its own unique qualities. My ride this morning was a 2002 Trek 5900 carbon fibre that I "upgraded" from 9speed to 11speed a few weeks ago. I fitted my first compact crank (50/34) - a real ego check after only using 53/39 all these years - to the Trek along with a 11/32 cassette. Still trying to get used to this setup I admit ????. Posting a pic -apologies for the poor picture quality Would be interested to know what you guys are riding; vintage steel, aluminium, early carbon fibre or the latest and greatest CF technology Regards Sean
  9. 70's fashion i'm guessing. Much like the attached. Just close your eyes and enjoy the music
