Yes it was a great event, I just have the following comments. 1. Trying to get the faster guys to start after all the slow pokes on a day with mostly single track is not a really great idea. 2.The route markers that were missing at the end of the stage allowing the leaders to get onto day two's route was a catastrophe. At least mark the different days with different colour or point out that you are now on day two's route. 3. Not having results available on day two?????? 4. Allowing people to take shorter routes home if they are tired??? If you can't go the distance don't enter the race. 5. Saw multiple locals taking short cuts, mmmmm seems very fair.

Mass start unless you were in the top 50 teams last year, then you get to start in the front. It can get messy at the back so if you are interested in racing try and get there early. But that being said its mostly open road so you can pass pretty easily once you are on to the main dirt roads.

Sealskin Socks are the winner winner chicken dinner, I rode with them in the snow and they kept my feet warm. AS for gloves its hard to beat the Assos wind proof ones.
