  5. Stop beating about the bush. What is the "incorrect manner". Lathering it all over the place like you do with the oil you love so much. Thank you' date=' now we can get down to brass tacks. The original statement was that successful lubrication has more to do with the method of application than what you use. Successful lubrication in my book is the maximum reduction of friction using a specific product. Now, whether I lather it on, as you suggest, or put a drop on every second link (as I do), you'll get the same level of lubrication - both successfull, and in contradiction of the original statement. Further, oil for bikes is sold in a little bottle with a dropper, not in a can with a paintbrush. What is so difficult to deduce from that? [/quote'] Is this why you never get good results in MTB races..... cos when you stop youtake like 40mins just to lube every second link....... HAHAH, no wait for it, there will be some "scientific" BS reasoning behind his race results... Does he even do Races.......

  7. its got the same bead as the tubeless...... just the sidewall is thicker on the tubeless.......
  8. as long as the spare wheel is mounted on the rear door and not a swing arm then its fine...... the spare me have a fitting that bolts on behind the rim or mag and then the rack just clips onto the baseplate behind the tyre....... its very nice but i still prefer the ride on racks...... youre bikes dont touch each other at any stage...... so cant get damaged......
  9. all the THULE ride on racks passes the spare wheel just fine..... otherwise try the Spare me from Thule..... it fit on the spare wheel......

  12. the guy from DT inspected it before we used it and he serviced the hubs..... he didnt have problem with it......
  13. I don't know what series those were' date=' but 6000 series bearings are now about R80 or more. You can still get very cheap ones but they're made in India or China and best used as fishing weights. I have nothing against those countries but I have just not yet come across a Chinese or Indian bearing brand that I can trust. In the bearing game it is a fact that the best comes from Japan, Germany and Sweden. When a bearing replacement is a difficult and expensive issue like on a PowerTap hub that requires callibration afterwards, you don't want to pop a rubbish bearing in there. The labour far exceeds the bearing cost and re-doing the exercise every two months is not a proposition. However, if you have a source of cheap, good bearings, please do tell. [/quote'] ok so I paid R8,25 per bearing for my DT swiss 240 hubs bearings(at a certain shop in Silverton Pretoria)...... that means I can service my hubs about 10time for the same price as servicing it at the normal price(I bet the R80 bearing wont last 10times as long)..... my bearings has been going for a while now and no problem..... this is that cheap indian and chinese bearings that you are ttalking about........
