  1. Nooo, they have just moved to the Virgin active centre in Kloof
  2. You wanna swop your crank for an XT 3 blade? :) wif cash difference
  3. Loosen the Allen bolts holding the caliper, squeeze the brake lever so the caliper aligns itself and retighten the Allen bolts while still squeezing the lever. The caliper has got elongated mounting holes so it can slide and align itself with the disk.
  4. Man, I gotta find me a lady like that!
  5. I worked for a company that designs tracking systems for vehicles and was involved with the RF design. The battery is definitely a problem area as it needs to be connected to a power supply for charging every now and then. The GSM modem wakes up every few minutes and has to refresh its status, this requires transmitting at around 2 Watts depending on how far it is from a tranciever station which will eat batteries. The GSM technology will easily fit inside a seat tube complete with antenna but unless you're willing to change batteries every few days, I dont see this being feasible. Unless the GSM modem only wakes up every few hours, but by then your bike could be in Mozambique! Maybe we could put a little motor in the seat tube connected to the cranks and that would generate a current for charging the battery.. Nah.. too stoopid, I mean a motor in the seat tube Bwahahahahaha!!
  6. Chorus, reasons: 1)Its sexy 2)Its campy, it never wears out, it only wears in. 3)Its sexy 4)You should NEVER put anything but Campag on a Bianchi. 5)Its sexy 6)If you like to take things apart like me, you can with Campag,Shimano press fit things together. 7)Its so damn sexy
  7. Caerus, there is a place in Pinetown, Safari Powdercoaters that did a gate for me. They charged R400 for everything, sandblasting and powdercoating so I think a bicycle frame will be cheaper than that.
  8. Sand blast it, buff it and ride it nekkid. It will look like a Ti frame
  9. I gotta set of XT tubeless ready wheels looking for a new loving home Eldron, you give her one tyre, I give her one wheel and she can wheelie her way around the course at the next MTB race... hehehehe
  10. Santa Maria!! They must be freaking bad for you to have gone back!! I've heard race kings are really good tho.
  11. The ultimate solution would be to upgrade just your rims to Stans ZTR Olympic or Alpine and then put your chioce of rubber on them with the conversion kit. I've put non UST Rocket Rons with Stans sealant on my hoops with no problems. Stans rims just hook up so well! Otherwise buy the conversion kit, some sealant and whatever tyre you choose. Its easy!! Now go get some coffee!
  12. YES!! I used to do the same: flat out for as long as I could. Then I decided to go on a structed training program and the difference I saw in my riding (and race times) was insane! The only time I ride alone is circuits at suncoast otherwise I fit them in on my inland rides with mates.
  13. Thursdays are circuits day which are painfull but fun!! I dont know of any rides from the stadium with a support vehicle though.
