  1. Thanks guys, we are currently busy with legal and tactical proceedings but as I do not wish to jeopardize any of these actions I would prefer not to go into any detail just yet. No one is more aware of the frustrations of the time that this is taking to get resolution on the matter but that is the nature of following proper procedure.
  2. Yes Francois, that is the right way of doing things. carbon is I believe fully repairable and I may even have taken the frame at the right price if I knew the extent of the damage or why the frame was resprayed. I would just like to reiterate that there was no denial from the seller that the frame had been resprayed when questioned and he was initially in agreement to fully refund my money. The real issue is that this individual messed me around with the initial payment arrangement meetings on 4 occasions to which he never pitched and then refused to answer my sms's or take my calls.
  3. Okay HeyYou, I have finally got around to negative rating Foil40 apologies for the delay, just been really busy and wanted to give him every chance to respond, sadly with no luck, no communication what so ever. Pulling out all the legal stops now.
  4. Thanks Patch for the support, you guys on The Hub have been amazing.
  5. Just a quick update regarding the resprayed Dogma frame reimbursement: 1.Foil40 has not responded to a lawyer’s letter of demand sent by harryn requesting that he refund my monies for the resprayed frame by Friday 6th March and take his frame back. 2.Despite a commitment made to Matt here on The Hub to repay the funds by Friday I am still to receive any communication since the 25th February. Matt has also heard nothing from the seller since the commitment was made. It is clearly evident that this individual has absolutely no intention of honoring his agreement to refund my money which he has been awarded every opportunity to do. I am currently taking legal advice and am in communication with various parties who have agreed to assist in seeking a just outcome to this issue. Thanks to all the Hubbers who have responded and for all the positive support to date, I will keep you posted on future developments as they unfold.
  6. RIP Condolences to you and the family
  7. Hi Skylark, I knew nothing about this it would be great if there was a reference to the ad somewhere if that were the case.
  8. Thanks HeyYou, that aint going to happen this individual does not have the courage to talk to me, where is he going to come on here to defend himself. I would happily welcome his response to provide an alternative version if one existed. What I have posted on here is completely factual and exactly the way this saga has unfolded so that you and other Hubbers can form your own opinions draw a conclusion. I will certainly use the rating system and will do that right now. Thank you.
  9. Hi Steve, you are 100% correct the real issue is that he does not have the courage to even have a conversation about this and spends all his time ducking my calls and messages.
  10. Hi nathrix, this unfortunately is the world in which we live. Yes he has taken the money and run but he is not an individual without the means to refund my money. If he were I would be a lot more sympathetic but sadly it is these very scam artists that need to be removed from our community. Thanks for commenting.
  11. Thanks for commenting Crank The real issue is not about the repair, it is in the cowardice of not facing your problems. Sadly Crank not everybody shares our view.
  12. Thanks toys Unfortunately every community has bad apples and we need to expose and weed them out in an attempt maintain our own integrity. We all screw up, my own philosophy is to have the courage when doing so to admit to it and make right as quickly as possible what you have done wrong. Thank you so much for the kind words and vote of confidence. Love to the prince Trail
  13. Thanks SK, posts are lacking but that still don't cut it for me. Just be your word and when you cant don't coward out of it.
  14. Yes float you are 100 % correct I may even have bought the frame if I had the full details of the repair and knew who did the work. Given the quality of the spraywork however, I cant even begin to imagine what took place or why it was sprayed in the 1st place. This is a really expensive frame and the least one could do is supply documentation from the repairer, if done properly and there is nothing to hide then there should be no problem.
  15. Dodgy seems to follow this guy around.
  16. Thanks El Saltemontes The individual in question is Foil40 here on The Hub as can be seen from the link. Carbon can certainly be repaired without too many issues if done correctly and you are aware of what it is you are repairing. The real issue is that I bought the frame having specifically asked if any work had been done to which the answer was "NO". The seller showed such surprise and immediately agreed to refund my money so up until I got the runaround I never really thought about the extent of the possible magnitude of the damage. Given the fact that the frame has been sprayed and I have no clue as to the nature or reason for the respray or extent of the possible damage I dare not take a chance on the frame or repair. Thanks for the advice all the same.
  17. I was just trying to be accommodating in an attempt to get something back from this guy.
  18. Thanks Joe, I find it very hard to believe myself. I am currently busy with an assessment of the frame it was sold to me as, "definitely never cracked or worked on in any way," this was a question that I asked. The seller told me that he used my money to buy a MTB with the money that I paid him. I even suggested that we could look at taking the mountainbike as partial repayment via sms to which I also have had no response along with several other SMS'S.
  19. Thanks Dale, these things are sent to try us, I just want everyone else to be aware of the situation.
  20. Hey Bogus, I know already that I have your support in this. The spraywork is nowhere near your standard anyway. This is well below par. Thanks for the support.
  21. Thanks DIPSLICK, any chance you can PM me with details as I do have council but it may be more effective if they understand the cycling setup and community.
  22. Thanks Soapbox, I have to agree.
  23. Thanks nonky, yes I am in the process of taking legal advice as i am left with no real other options.
  24. Great detective work thanks for the support LWB.
  25. Yes Flying Scott, glad you picked up on that, very interesting as well as the reference to a potential previous dodgy deal that was picked up.
