  1. My deepest sympathy from CPT to Benoni I have close ties. RIP.
  2. Well done Daryl and keep up the great work, you make us proud.
  3. Our sympathy from the Cape we are dyin like flies down here.
  4. We really need a proper forum section on here for this.> Sorry to here of another friend going done.
  5. There seem to be many people in glass houses replying to this topic. Yeah the guy's done wrong, fessed up and is prepared to take the pain. His sentance is neither his responsibility nor his fault. His cycling life is finished and I think that we seem to overlook the consequences of that to someone who made his living through the sport.
  6. Well done to all the teams competing in the DC. Hang in there in the rain and good luck.
  7. Also ride Keo and would be keen on a CPT fit. No chance you can get your system into one of the local stores that stock your product and train a tech.
  8. Thanks for that going to do my bike stand right away already spent to much time searching for small lost bits all over the garage floor.
  9. I have also battled with these in the past, personal opinion is that if it is a quick link then one shouldn't have to use pliers to separate the chain.
  10. Quite right just thought that I should let everyone know as he is bound to use the same modus operandi as before.
  11. What are you implying by, "this gent shouldn't be riding a bike like that one'.
  12. Thanks for all the response guys I really think we need a single spot to warn people of these scams I am absolutely convinced that this is not the 1st and will not be the last time this guy tries this.
  13. Thanks, yes we had a conversation 3 days after the supposed deposit, he stated that he would get back to me the same day i am still waiting.
  14. Googled the site it does exist. This is to be the delivery point for the bike.
  15. Address checks out he needs to collect the bike via courier.
  16. Thanks mate tell me when I can have the courier drop the package and hopefully you will act on my behalf.
  17. Yes he answers his phone and tells me that he made the transfer just really busy at work and will get back to me.
  18. Watch out for a guy going by the name of Banson Mathews. He made enquiries about a bike that I was selling from Cape Town and he was in JHB. He requested bank details after many sms's, emails and even spoke to me three times on the phone. I sent bank details and he emailed and sms'd confirmation of payment and I wrapped the bike in a box ready for collection. He provided an address in Johannesburg and asked me to send the bike. I just had a bad feeling about things, somehow something just didn't feel right and I contacted him stating that I had sent the bike but money hadn't cleared my account fortunately I hadn't sent the bike yet and he is still waiting. He stated that he would check with his bank and come back to me yesterday, I am still waiting. I would like firstly to warn other would be sellers of this scam artist and also if anyone has any advice as to what can be done to put a stop to this guys antics and teach him a lesson. I have included his contact details below and would be very happy to set up a so called delivery via the courier company but am in Cape Town if there is someone who would be prepared to step in to confront this guy on my behalf in the name of HUB justice and integrity I would be most grateful. I am happy to get the police involved but as he is in Jhb and I am in Cpt this is a bit complicated and time is of the essence. If anyone is willing to assist in this regard either to teach this guy a lesson, provide advice or knows of reliable police guys up there that will act on my behalf I would be most grateful. WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY BANSON MATHEWS Cell: 0767967485 Address: 15a Panoramic heights, Upper Houghton, Killarney I can be reached on 0827838388.
  19. Well done Edge, right behind you all the way. I will do some research regarding history of stolen bikes that have gone through his hands. Time to nail this guy as he is partially responsible for creating a market in stolen bikes.
  20. Wow guys been on the Hub for a while now and only recently come across the thread. I am mad about retro bikes and will post soon, some stunning bikes on here well done.
  21. Great initiative, keep up the good work.
  22. Only to glad for the interest, most Joy I've had in ages.
  23. Hi the break any follow up on a potential course in CPT. Thanks trailman
  24. Thanks for the great pics, had a great semi social race myself definitely will do the camera thing myself at some point, well done.
  25. I can relate as a regular cramper, Dr Tim Noakes exercise and more specifically running god reacons there is nothing we can do that is really that effective, as they ( the gurus) don't really fully understand what brings about the onset of cramps. Personally I believe in proper hydration which seems to be the most practical solution. Quite simply stick to water (750Ml/hr) for the most part with a bit of glucose type stuff in between. Frankly if you are taking pills to get through exercise and plan on doing this before starting then you should question what is more important the exercise or your health.
