  1. Well done guys, there seems to be a whole heap of ungratefulness on Bikehub towards you Gerald and Admin, you seem to be taking unnecessary flack for doing a great job. I languish at the bottom of the table despite taking this really seriously, but really enjoying the GAME. Lighten up guys that is all it is!!!!
  2. Yip I know the feeling, put so much thought into this and I am dropping down the leaderboard faster than a lead balloon. Perhaps I will qualify for the wooden spoon .
  3. Well done to Admin and Gerald this is going to be great fun but not going to get much work done over the next month. Just choosing my team is a major distraction.
  4. Thanks raptor, I urge you please to read this forum in its entirety, it has become a fairly complex issue that goes way beyond the financial implications of the frame and speaks directly to Saal himself and his integrity. There are several legal and civil investigations currently ongoing into Saal that are parallel to the frame issue. Suffice to say that I am working in conjunction with several parties both within and outside of the cycling community to close in on Saal and see justice done for all parties. Even though Saal has been kicked off of Bikehub I cannot discuss the frame issue openly on here as we are only too aware that he still monitors the site. I just wish to point out that whilst I feel cheated there are far bigger issues at play here and several other people currently have suffered far greater harm than I through this individuals dishonesty. The latest victim of Saal's crookery was stung just this weekend. https://www.bikehub.co.za/stolenbikes/419-swift-modulus-2008/
  5. Hi Patch sent PM as he monitors this site and I don't want to let him know what is happening.
  6. Hey Patch here we go again, I would also like to know Joey.
  7. This is the same Naaim Saal who conned me as mentioned in the post above regarding the Dogma frame. I would suggest ammana that you read through the saga and familiarize yourself with as many of the people on here that have been cheated by this guy as possible. Please feel free to give me a ring and I will attempt to assist where I can, this coward cannot just disappear into thin air and I will do everything in my power along with Wheelworx and others to see some sort of justice meted out. You should be aware that admin have kicked him off of Bikehub but he does still monitor the site Phone: 0827838388 https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/148221-help-dogma-respray-scam/?p=2574960
  8. This is the same Naaim Saal. He is a serial conman please be aware of this.
  9. Brilliant Iwan except that there is so little action on the site I really do think that you need to do a little marketing through Bikehub regarding the new site. It was by pure fluke that I managed to find the site through a fellow Hubber. I will certainly get my fellow Trailies who aren't cyclists to sign up and participate and urge other Trailrunners to do the same. If we all introduce just two running mates we should be able to develop some traction.
  10. Terrible news, hope you both recover shortly.
  11. This is terrible Toys I will keep my eyes open and urge other Hubbers please to do the same. Hope you get you bike back soon.
  12. RIP Dolf, thanks for giving your time so that we may enjoy our sport.
  13. Thanks aVenge, this case has become extremely complex and the consequences go well beyond the scope of Bike Hub so I cannot really discuss this issue in any great detail on a public platform such as this any longer.
  14. HELP!!! Shimano Ultegra STI Spring Please help guys I have a new set of Ultegra 10 Speed Sti's and the shifter spring has gone on the left STI. I know that the bike shops are reluctant to open these up but really it is just one spring that came loose and I refuse to believe that the spring is unavailable and that there is no one in the country who can replace it. If there is anyone who can help out with a spring from an otherwise broken shifter and any advice on who could fix this I would be most appreciative. This shifter would cost around R1400 to replace for the sake of a R2.00 spring!!!
  15. Well done guys, to all the riders and support staff you made us very proud, especially in the midst of our countries sporting drought at the moment.
  16. Welcome to Cape Town, agree on The Northern Suburbs Bottelary hills offer a great and varied system of trails then there is Jonkershoek which is also stunning. Stellenbosch would give you the best of both of these great MTB worlds.
  17. Cheers Rocket-Boy it does not help to get ones nickers in a knot. This was never about the frame it was about the lies and deception. I was always happy to keep the frame if that was to be the end result. Having the frame analysed and professionally touched up, at some point we all need to move on with our lives
  18. Cheers Sarge, Foil is gone from here and I am still working on this.
  19. Thanks DPG not quite finalised but upside is that Foil is off of here and I own actually what is quite a nice original Dogma frame that I might build up or sell.
  20. Hi marko, you have hit the nail on the head. This is a primary modus operandi of many a scamster as they believe their mark will eventually just grow exhausted and walk away accepting their loss and their fate.
