  7. Thats the thing , if you work for someone, doesn't matter how the business is doing they look at your payslips bank statements and affordability, when its your own business they even want to know what toilet paper you use.

  9. The deposit, should I sell some of my assets like shares and put that into the bond as well or should I rather just put as much cash together as possible.

  11. Should I approach my bank myself or should I let the agencies do the applications for me?
  12. As the headline says I am looking at buying my first house,I have my own business that's been running now for nine years. The business is a cc and I do draw a salary. My question is this, once the banks know you are self employed they immediately file you in a different category. Should I tell them that I have my own business,or that I work for the company. If I have to tell them what should I do for them to look at me positively. I do have a excellent credit rating. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  20. Thanx I couldn't have put it better myself. I myself have only done trail seeker races so I cannot make comparisons as yet, I want to do different events but need to know which are value for money and great fun races.
  21. So I was paging through the ride magazine race calender that we get early in the year, and was wondering with so many events in and around Gauteng which are the must do races and which ones can we leave out? I would start a poll of sorts but wouldn't even know where to begin? So can the hubbers mention which mtb events they never miss out, and which ones they wont go back to?
