All I'll say is that I love these systems with a finite budget. We all know who the obvious favorites are if we had no constraints, but here you need to balance your team of marquee riders alongside some from the bargain bin. And it is these bargain bin purchases that define your whole performance, IMHO. I've got fingers crossed for my rider to surprise everyone on Stage 5.

You'll be all good with two of those panels. The charging current is listed there is just the maximum achievable. Your 20A should be fine. In an ideal world I would try to find 2x 420W Panels to get the most out of the setup.

That may be the point. Jacobsen might have always been the shoe-in pick for the TDF and Cav got the compromise deal of riding the Giro this year. Maybe this was discussed in the training camp in December already. We won't know.

I think we are completely out of touch with the context of the specific team and how they operate. Like John mentioned: Was Cav ever on the Long List or Short List for TDF? What is the current working relationship between the DS and CAV? Sitting here and judging either side is going to be flawed. It is what it is, sorry Cav. There will be hell to pay if the team doesn't bring home the bacon. But if they win 4 stages, one could argue they made a fair decision.

I know Cav is special in the fact that he has the joint record holder on stage races. BUT, taking half a step back. Do we really think each and every prospective TDF rider gets a call from his DS to break the news to him before it reaches the social media pages? We are all human, maybe the DS just had too much on his plate to call the great and mighty Cav to let him down softly.

With Wout chasing Green, it is conceivable that JV can possibly walk away with all the Jerseys, IF they can beat Pog... It has been the case that the winner of the race has been able to pocket the Polka Dot by just chasing Yellow. If Vingegaard is above Pog, it means White is secured. Then Wout bringing home the Green, possibly. BUT, it doesn't help you chase all of them and lose Yellow. Thus, I'd think Yellow trumps all other ambitions. So get that in the bank and then the rest can chase the other jerseys.
