  1. He misread that corner completely, lucky to find a gap between the wall and barrier for a "softer" landing. Hope he makes it to the finish without injury.
  2. If Drive To Survive was accurate:
  3. Thrilling finish between these riders!
  4. Davide Formolo (UAE Team Emirates), Koen Bouwman, Tom Dumoulin (Jumbo-Visma), Diego Camargo (EF Education-EasyPost), Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo), Wout Poels (Bahrain-Victorious) and Davide Villella (Cofidis) I'm not going to pick one, but it is setting up for one of these okes in the break taking the win today.
  5. Breakaway taking shape on the inclines now. Wout Poels way in front, many trying to join him.
  6. 30kms in and no break is established, yet, but not for a lack of trying. The parcours could favour a breakaway win, so nobody wants to miss it. Average speed is currently at 50km/h.
  7. Cav's chances of taking another stage win just took a serious knock:
  8. Look at Caleb's shoulders and how far ahead of Demare he is
  9. Spot on! Demare steals it with the throw.
  10. 56 more kilometers... this. is. taking. forever Kudos to Deigo Rosa for taking on the challenge, but this is...
  11. Would be interesting to know what his exact plan is for the year. He might be doing the Giro with some stage wins and those first days in Pink as his goals. He might then pull the plug in the 2nd or 3rd week to go recover and start his prep for TDF. If he goes too deep in chasing the Points jersey here, it might scupper any TDF ambitions he might have. Winning Green in Paris is arguably one of the biggest achievements he can add to his current long list...
  12. Agree 100% on all points. Stage finish is straight without much deviation. Going to be a pure battle of the Sprint trains. Final kilometres The route enters urban Scalea for the stage finale, which is raced on wide, straight and well-paved roads, with one last roundabout at the ‑3 km mark. The home straight is on tarmac road. Unfortunately, I think Girmay needs to play his cards clever and just shadow Cav'. That DQS train is going to be tough to beat. Sit on his wheel and hope for a mistake/miscalculation.
  13. Girmay putting in a solid effort in the points jersey competition MAGLIA CICLAMINO Arnaud DEMARE 94 Biniam GIRMAY 72 Fernando GAVIRIA RENDON 67 Mathieu VAN DER POEL 62 Mark CAVENDISH 53
  14. Cavendish and Caleb Ewan dropped out the bunch on the CAT 2 climb in the middle of the stage. The other teams are keeping the pace high to keep them out of contention. Likely sprinters to benefit at the finish line: -Girmay -MvdP -Demare -Gaviria In that order
  15. Hope you are watching Nick, Kamna is smashing it!
  16. SS6 just came back online... English feed available
  17. Peloton remains 5m30s behind the break with 10km to go. Looking good for the breakaway right now
  18. Of coarse 🤦‍♂️. Thanks
  19. Best I have found is that he has been carrying a hip injury for the last couple of days.
  20. FFS, Supersport Feed is down. Anyone on GCN+ that can fill us in?
  21. 7m25s lead with 25km until the climb starts. Breakaway should start the climb with a 5min lead, give or take
  22. 80km to go, 7m30s lead for the Break. Still looking good for him right now 58km till they start the climb...
  23. 13:34:48 The advantage of the breakaway group continues to grow: 11'06'' after 40 km of racing Live News 13:19:45 Here are the 14 breakaway members Valerio Conti (Astana Qazaqstan), Lennard Kämna (Bora-hansgrohe), Davide Villella, Rémy Rochas (Cofidis), Rein Taaramae (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert), Gijs Leemreize (Jumbo-Visma), Sylvain Moniquet (Lotto Soudal), Mauri Vansevenant (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), Juan Pedro Lopez (Trek-Segafredo), Stefano Oldani (Alpecin-Fenix), Diego Andrés Camargo (EF Education-EasyPost), Erik Fetter (Eolo-Kometa), Alexander Cataford (Israel-PremierTech) and Lilian Calmejane (AG2R Citroën). 8’10” gap for them.
  24. 13:36:02 A moment we never wanted to comment on This is the moment when Miguel Angel Lopez is forced to abandon the Giro d’Italia. The Colombian rider had staked a lot on this Giro. Now also the internal dynamics of Astana Qazaqstan Team will have to change, will Vincenzo Nibali become the captain?
