  2. She didn't top the Charts at the European TT race, but she did give it a good go. I doubt the peloton will do the same mistake twice in a single year.
  3. Gibbons had a stunning ride the other day. If he can sneak into the early break, who knows, he might just hang on when the Main contenders come past and then surprise them with an attack as they out-mark each other... We can dream.
  4. Three Amigos(MvdP, WvA, JA) will obviously be favorites. Magnus Cort is right up there with his recent form. But like Shebeen says, these World's Championships play out to different rules, so anything can happen. WRT the Road race. I really hope everyone keeps their bearings on straight. This course can be hella confusing, even before you have massive lactate build-up. I'm calling it now... someone is going to put their hands up in celebration across the finish line in one of these races and then hear the bell for the final lap ringing for them.... Men Elite Road Race After the start on the Grote Markt in Antwerp, the peloton leaves for Leuven, with a passage in Official Village Keerbergen. Arriving in Leuven, the final unfolds on the local circuit (4 hills) and the Flandrien circuit (6 hills): 1.5 x local circuit Leuven, 1 x Flandrien circuit, 4x local circuit Leuven, 1x Flandrien circuit and 2.5 x local circuit Leuven. The finish line after this tough race is on the sloping Geldenaaksevest. Start presentations at Groenplaats: 8:45
  5. https://www.flanders2021.com/en Let's start the hype! Kicks-off on Sunday with the Elite Men TT: Men Elite individual Time Trial The start of the time trials is situated on the North Sea beach, near the casino. During the first 1.5 km the riders will ride along the sea, followed by a passage in the centre of Knokke-Heist. After that it goes inland. The scenery of this time trial? Channels and canals with typical trees that, marked by the wind, have grown diagonally. After 5 almost straight kilometres in Dudzele and a passage in the picturesque town of Damme, it heads towards the city of art Bruges and the finish on 't Zand. Date Sunday 19 September Start Knokke-Heist | 14:30:00 Finish Bruges | 16:55:00 Elevation 78 m Distance 43.30 km
  6. I built my system in March this year. I used three different online shops and they all delivered(for a fee). https://solaradvice.co.za/shop/solar-power/solar-inverters/ https://www.bonanzatech.co.za/index.php?id_category=627&controller=category https://www.inverter-warehouse.co.za/collections/solar-inverters-1/Victron Good luck

The grid penalty is transferred to the next race, so surely there is an argument that a 5s or 10s penalty can be served at the next event too? 10s stationary at one of your pitstops is a whole different kettle of fish than Qualifying on the front row and then being shunted to behind Whoever qualifies 4th/5th, (Norris, Russel, Ricardo) Talking theoretically here. Some of the sanctions seem disproportionally harsh on a tight championship race.

    Formula 1...

Actually laughed when I saw the two numbnuts take each other out. Happy for all three podium drivers, probably most happy for Bottas. Officially been given notice to vacate his seat and then wins the Sprint race and goes from 19th to 3rd on race day, must feel good.
  9. Yeah, when JA attacked them and WvA couldn't immediately react, I thought it was tickets. But somehow he hung on. Looking forward to the remaining Monuments and World's to see these guys try and knock each other out. Fun finish to the stage today.
  10. It would have been very close in my opinion, within a couple of seconds of Ineos either way. Seems they needed a bike change due to a flat rear tyre. Wout wasn't impressed.
  11. TJV rips into the finish, with a mechanical in the final kilometer, with a time 49s faster than the previous best time, . Full strength DQS will most likely capitalize here to take the Stage.
  12. From espncricinfo: "Also the first time that South Africa have bowled 40 overs of spin, seven more overs than their previous record of 33"
  13. TJV on the ramp now... let's see...
  14. Ja, but they have Wout AND Tony. The two of them pulled the entire TDF peloton across France in 2020, only to be outdone in the Final TT by the absolute genius of John Wakefield and Jeroen Swart. Pogacar was only the guy pushing on the pedals "Hurt their chance", nah, more like, "Give the other teams an outside chance to be competitive"
  15. WvA only 22s down on the GC Leader's jersey. Methinks TJV can easily overhaul that time gap in the 18km TTT to put Wout ahead, then also winning the stage.
  16. Aaag F&#!
  17. Delivered this morning. Pretty happy with the quality and they fit nice too. Will take them for a spin over the weekend.
  18. Yes my boy! Lovely to see him in the Top 10 of a Grand Tour again! TT obviously isn't his forte, so he will need to hope for some more time in the next two days.
  19. I don't see a Yates-Giro type implosion coming here...
  20. Majka going to take another stage? The attackers open a 3' gap after 20km 13:22 Jumbo-Visma: Bouwman AG2R-Citroën: Cherel, Dewulf Alpecin Fenix: De Tier, Planckaert Astana-Premier Tech: G. Izagirre Bora-Hansgrohe: Gamper Burgos-BH: Canal, Okamika, Sanchez Caja Rural-Seguros RGA: Bagües Cofidis: Jo. Herrada EF Nippo: Keukeleire Euskaltel-Euskadi: Martin, Mate Groupama-FDJ: Le Gac Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux: Taaramäe Ineos Grenadiers: Puccio Israel Start-Up Nation: Piccoli Lotto Soudal: Cras, Vanhoucke Movistar Team: Erviti Team BikeExchange: Howson, Schultz Team DSM: Arensman, Storer Team Qhubeka NextHash: Aru, Lindeman Trek-Segafredo: Brambilla, Nibali UAE Team Emirates: Majka
  21. Methinks Meintjies is going to shine in these final mountain stages. A Top 10 GC finish is within reach for him.
  22. intervals.icu is very handy for tracking Running parameters. Plenty of the newer Garmin Watches can now run an APP that can give you Running Power estimates, based on weight, incline and speed. Good enough for an average-Joe runner. Most of the time you just want to track energy expenditure and prevent over-exertion. I think these Power Estimate Apps are decent in that regard. I think the Power Estimation Apps for cycling should be pretty much good enough for a large section of the cycling community that cannot afford a power meter, but do own a Garmin.
  23. 3kms from the start. Might be hectic, tune in if you can.
  24. For me: Garmin device logging data to Garmin Connect. Intervals.icu then pulls the data it needs and takes care of everything I could ever want to do with the data. Its free and Web-based, which means that you don't need to run a local copy, like you would need to do for Golden Cheetah to see your data. With Intervals you can see your data from any device that has an Internet connection.
