Don't like full suspension much. Looks like me and you are in the same weight range, ..so dont worry about weight, stiffness etc worry about getting stronger legs to push it all up the mountain! I ride a entry level GT and just put on better wheels and hubs and better brakes and I go past a lot of Carbon, full susp mega buck bikes out there Dont spend too much or as Eddie Mercx said " Dont upgrade your bike, ride more upgrades

If any of you train on that same road as mentioned in the Thread" See how many cyclist we can kill!! , pm me and lets set up a ride group or monitoring system, ie we can go for training ride together or if the pace differs, the group can meet at pre arranged place have each others cell numbers and rendezvous at the same place after the ride. I know Wharthogs have a mailing list that organising rides, but sometimes you just want to go for a training ride at the spur of the moment or when you get the time, then at least have the numbers of a bunch of people from the same neighborhood that you can sms to see if they are open for a ride. I know it sucks not to be able to go it alone but ..ja lets not test our luck

Well I saw that Greg Minaar and three other blokes are busy setting up a Mtb Park in CT with a cable lift to take the downhillers up and a couple of freeride courses along with a bit of single track, just could not see where exactly it would be. Got the link to their site from PPA I think.. Build a Park in Jo Burg You wil make a killing!
